    Star Wars?
    I’m 501st- TIE pliot & Gunner

Part of getting the truck is to carry my ever increasing gear totes. The hard tonneau is good to be able to lock them up- out of site.

Edit- it was on the truck when I bought it. That thing is WAY too much for me to have bought it after-the-fact hahahahaha

I've loved Star Wars since I was a kid and got the original trilogy on VHS (still got it on my bookshelf too!)

Love the 501st and what y'all do for events and stuff. It'd be fun to do.. but dang, that's a steep intro cost to get into (kinda like Tacomas.)

Ah yes, I think I remember. Mine was simple: "Matt"...I still have a few friends from back then, mainly Rob (GSRswapandslow)...although he is married now and has a kid...don't get to talk to him much.

Too bad the site is dead now...it was really hopping back in 02-07ish. Really loved those b-series swaps - we had it down to a science and could rip out a d-series and get a b-series in and running/driving within 45mins. I miss my old Honda's sometimes. :(

Whenever RLZ built Rob's n/a 2.1L ITR and it was making ~245-250whp, it was a blast to go out and rip on Mustangs and F-bodies all night long.

So my friend is looking to buy a 4 runner and asked me what to get. I don't really know 4 runners all that well. She's not going to wheel it more than a fireroad, but I refuse to let her buy a non 4x4, so I told her a 4wd SR5 is probably all she needs. She wants one of the newer gens but told her not to buy a brand new one since she probably can find a low mile 16 or 17 for a good chunk off MSRP. Any other advice I should give her or things to tell her to look for? She lives in Hawaii, but is probably buying in California since she'll likely be moving back here within the next year for nursing school

The GF scored this one, 2016 with 37,xxx miles for $29,500. SR5, Premium, XP Package, and 4WD. I’m hella jealous and have already persuaded her to mod it :D

Damn, I’m not finding any “decent” trackers on CL for less than $2500.

If I could score one for $1000-1500 it would be a sweet DD and weekend toy.

My aunt had one back in the day and it was a blast to ride in.

There was no savings in used in AZ. I got a new off-road premium with 1 mile for invoice. 40k mikes, 14-16 Trails were 35, pass.

Even just the basic SR5? She will never be modding or wheeling it, so that's why I'm thinking just SR5 basic for her with 4wd. If it's only a few grand of savings then ill just tell her fuck it buy new

The price difference between SR5 premium and off-road premium was so laughable that I went for the better package(off-road). Locker before lightbars.

I gotta admit I've thought about booting the old codebase up a few times recently, but I know I'd get bored with it pretty quick. There is supposed to be a new-ish MUD client called mudlet that is really good and free, too.

You can start cheaper, then build up.
Suit, boots, gloves, belt, & cap open up the basic entry to:
    Tie pilot
    Gunner
    Naval trooper
    Bridge Crew

Only helmet (“bucket”), chest stuff, & details vary.
I’m approved for all those- some several variations,
If interested, I can help open doors for you.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
I know a local chapter of the 501st has done quite a few events down here. Stingrays hockey games, festivals, etc. Seems like a fun time.
