What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Im about to add the same tank to my set up..not a hater or busting on ya but usually when running any gas (as in air or?) the line outa the tank to your service is run on the highest opening , that way any water, dirt etc has less chance of being picked up in the stream outa the tank...granted not an issue here, just a observation, was for many years a utility plant, wayer plant guy....

 

what do you think of that drawer setup?

 

Finally got the icon add a leaf put on..no more squat

 

Installed my Backrack headache rack with permanent locktite so some crackhead doesn't walk off with it, and did the sticker delete mod to it.

Also installed my @mesojdm red map lights. Had to remove the reflector for the harness to fit in the small space. Already installed the white dome light a while back. Top notch products in my opinion.

 

Ordered a set of spark plugs and a Grid It for the center console lid.

 

Recently added CB mount by Rago Fabrication with 5 foot antenna and a heavy duty spring with firestik quick connect
And added and rewired to fogs with Rigid SAE DOT compliant fogs and during the rewiring made the fogs capable of being turned on with/without the low beam

2. SWEET..I bought a smaller version to fit my bed, I have a tire carrier rack in front of it..its really for a jeep
3. its the RDRF790...roller floor and drawer...33x31x8
4. sooooo nice to have everything under lock
5. both the drawer and floor above it lock open so if ur on a hill they stay open
6. EZ install
7. no more milk crates etc .plenty of room for what I carry
8. it is well made

This was my exact thinking, I highly doubt a small trailer would ever get close to 3500lbs but having 2 extra wheels braking in an emergency or when crawling down a slick hill really helps.

 

I am on the other end of the age spectrum. The day my daughter passed her driving test and left the Courthouse driving by herself is a day I'll never forget. She was ecstatic at her new found freedom, I just stood in the doorway and watched her leave. I was happy as I could be for her but it also somewhat sad for me, no more little girl. Enjoy that Tacoma, be safe.

they are sold several places online but they are Anzo led headlights for the 12-15 tacoma. I actually bought them used a year ago but they came with the super white eye lids to color match.

Got a text from body shop. Truck will be done and ready for pick up tomorrow at 5:30pm Now I hope it doesn't rain until I get it home and in the driveway. They detail it before giving back so I will have a nice clean truck to bring. Have projects to Bed Lights, under hood lights, Bed mat and couple other I can remember, will have to look in cabinet and see what on shelf.

 

How are these holding up? Leak at all?

 

About a week ago I decided I wanted to move my hi lift out of the bed and onto my camper shell roof rack. Partially because I wanted easier access (even though I’ve only used it a couple times) and partially because I thought it’d look cool, if I’m being honest.

So I bought some pelfreybilt universal hi lift mounts via BAMF.

I ended up ditching the included hardware and using my own. 2.5” long 1/4” carriage bolts will hold it to the prinsu. The main bolt that holds the hi lift down, is a 3/8”-16.

I bought a 3” all thread bolt, and installed it with red thread locker. Then I cut the head off, and cleaned up the threads when a nut. Scuffed them up, taped off the threads and acetone wiped them, primed and paint.

To actually hold the hi lift down I bought a pack of these.

I don’t want to have to rely on tools to get them off. To fight corrosion, I’ll put a bag over the main part, and regularly maintain it so it works when I need it.

For security I’ll get some braided steel wire and run it through the hi lift and around the prinsu, and just unlock it before I hit the trail, like I do with all my other locked stuff.

Once the knobs get here Saturday, I’ll do the actual install. That’ll also give the paint plenty of time to dry.
