^In real life or in Gran Tourismo?

It's interesting the game shows the Supra in RHD, when the car is built in Austria in the same Magna plant as the Mercedes G-wagon.

I have a 97 mkiv tt. I'm expecting it to rocket up in value after this p.o.s falls on its face. It will tank, nobody will buy it. It is a joke that the closest thing to a real supra successor is the cadillac ats-v with its ttV6 making 450hp/460tq

Like all new things. Most will be tuner shops eager to showcase overpriced mods. I'll love to see how stout these motors will be on the dyno. I doubt these motors are overengineerred. My bet is that since its a bmw motor the best bet will be replacing all the plastic engine components with cnc parts.

Stock for stock, this "POS" will drive circles around any previous Supra. BMW knows how to make a better modern inline 6 than Toyota.

Anybody who thinks they are too good for a Supra with German blood should focus on the Lexus lineup. The RCF is close to a Supra successor, but way better. Then there is the LC500 which is better yet.

Most of the "hate" for this car comes from people who can't afford it in the first place, or any Lexus sports coupe. (I can't afford it either but can appreciate a sweet sports car)

Right. Stock for stock. That is not what the supra was known for. The 2JZ engine was insanely stout. The only thing the Germans get credit for is the V160/V161 Getrag 6spd in there that could easily take over 1000hp with an aftermarket clutch. I wonder how much the new trans can take....The Gm Tr-6060 in my old '09 cts-v was easily taking over 700rwhp with the stock clutch to over 90k miles.

This. Toyota priced the Mk IV Supra at the equivalent of $80k in today's dollars, and it was a sales failure.

In case anyone's wondering, the R35 Nissan GTR also sells poorly, which is why Nissan proscrastinates on spending money developing its successor.

Looks like it should handle torque into the 700s -Not bad for an auto

The ass end of this car is horrible. It looks like it is giving birth to another car. And we will name it "Supreme".
