Oh nice. I couldn't find any black badge sets when I was looking. Mine are just the nox-lux plastic overlays.

They seem like they are 3d printed but they are nice.

Got everything but the straps for the new box in. Welded the bracket and did a final mock up of everything before I sand it down and paint it. Also got my spare tire in finally.

Looks awesome I like that idea keeps the spare out of the weather

Thank you! Eventually I will have a rear bumper w/swingout, but this is my best option for now.

I tend to prefer this layout. The bumpers with swingout look good but I don’t like the idea of all that weight hanging out there. To each their own though.

Swingouts are just so handy for other things too, like spare fuel or a camping table since 4runners don't get the luxury of a tailgate.

No doubt their utility is great.

I agree. I think both setups are cool. I mostly need the swingout because right now I can barely fit all of my camping gear in the 4runner.

I am planning on getting the hitch gate.... still carry the spare but nothing hardly hanging off the rear. It takes the place of the tailgate

Not a bad option either! It removes a couple inches of clearance, which I am trying to do the opposite of.

I just finished everything up and did the final piece together. Everything fits like a charm. The tire does have some wiggle, but once it is in the 4runner, the wheel well should hold it in place better. If not then I will come up with a fix for that. It does not spin at all or move front to back. There is some rubber under the fridge to give it a cushion if I do hit a bump at speeds as well as some on top of the box to make it less slick if I put things on it.

That looks awesome. Might have to steal your design sometime down the road. Would obviously love to add a swingout as well but this seems like a good way to go about getting the spare out of harm's way on a budget. No fridge in my arsenal yet so could be neat to make the whole left side one big flat drawer with a sleeping platform atop it...fridge could always go in front of the spare...

Thank you! My old design was a fridge on the right with a big drawer on the left. You could easily do that, but just replace the fridge with the tire, and make the drawer shorter to use the whole back half a sleeping area..

Ummm, skip is short enough that he could sleep in the space you have the fridge in...
