You can ski on the bike trails?! I was riding this summer wondering if they were open in the winter. I gotta check that out.

Well...yes you can and a lot of people do because they are all packed down. They are FUN! There are however some signs that say "hiking only" but you just ski around those. Actually had to jump a rope to one of the trails I like yesterday, they didn't have the rope there two days ago when I went tho...I think they added the warnings though because trees are down in parts and they just want to reduce liability. But I see tons of people, young kids, old guys and racers in there.

What I really love about berkshire east is they let you ski the whole mountain, everything is open if you want to risk it. When I do a new run in the woods I usually try to find someones trails and follow them to get a feel for where the path leads. Then after that you can cruise and have some fun with it. A few times I will admit I've had to hike out of a situation I put myself in:rofl:

Last year I was with my cousin and we hiked it over to their windmill, then decided to just ski down the backside of that area which is just woods, no trails anywhere near. When we were getting close to poppin' out the bottom I noticed a ski patrol guy watching us. I immediately thought I was getting in trouble. When I got out to the trail, he said "How was it in there" and then went on his way. :bananadance:

Any of you guys had Bilstein 5100s? I’m gonna change out my shocks and think I’ll go with these. Reasonable price.

@tacobell007 is your buddy Levi available in the next couple of weeks for an install?

Drew can do it right in his own garage Brother. I have had 887's on 5100's for about 3 years now that Drew put in, never had any issues. Drew will be putting in my front and rear Kings soon as well.

Yeah that would be awesome if he’s able to do it for me. I’m home for the next couple of weeks if your available Drew.

If you can swing the extra cash I would recommend the 6112s. A very noticeable upgrade from the 5100s

For a street truck any real differences? I replaced my stock sport shock at 115k in the rear with a 5100 as stock's where squeaking on every stroke. I need to get around to the fronts, but never done them and nervous about the springs.

Yeah I’d be down to spend the extra cash. They definitely look miles better. Would you still do the 5100s in the rear or go for the 5160?

I had them on my 2015 Tacoma. Rode excellent, handled pot holes and washed out dirt roads amazingly. I didn’t really Offroad with it. More of a pavement pounder and back road truck. To me it was worth the extra money, especially since it came with new springs

I had the B110s 5100 in the rear since I had the Dakar leaf packs. If you are still on stock springs or just doing a slight add a leaf I would go with the 5160s but for me the cost wasn’t worth it. The front handles more abuse which is why I went with the 6112s up front

@Irishcarver I have the 6112's with the 5160's with the medium dakars. I love them both on road and offroad. So glad I went with them over the 5100's. Keep in mind that I have a 2nd gen just like yours .......I dont know if it is the same or different on the 3rd gens or not. When the 5160's first came out they did not have the reach to be matched with the Dakar leafs but then the 2nd generation 5160s came out with a longer reach and have the same specs as the ome rear shocks that were made for the dakars. Marie from headstrong walked me through the whole process.
