Yeah, but the grill area is already "cut out" so unless you just want to run the radiator sticker out front, you've got to buy the $24 grille.

You want the Gen 2.5 style headlights? Gotta buy the $30 light buckets....

I believe so, esc turns on but nothing else, no chirps or anything. Typically means no feedback from RX

My roof can go about 4” under before it loses signal. My idea was a submarine receiver, but they’re like $60, and now I’d rather avoid the water lol

I still need to send in my steering servo!

I may go ahead and take it out tonight. Need to find appropriate packaging...

Yeah, new trx4. That one prob has longer shocks and they added 2.2 wheels/tires instead of stock 1.9’s. I just bought a padded envelope from the post office for mine when I sent my protek servo back.

When I need to build a car, whether it be 1:1 or scale, I always appreciate a hand from @Tundra2Play We started around 7:30 on Saturday and finished around 1:30am.
    0310191555.jpg
With the chassis done, I moved on to the body Sunday morning. I picked PS41 Bright Silver to match my Tacoma. I rushed it, since I just wanted to play with it and sprayed my last coat at the parking lot at Duck Creek. It's not perfect, but it'll get beat up soon enough. After crawling at Duck I found that my biggest complaint was hanging up on the rear bumper. So, I went home flipped both bumper mounts to lift them higher. I also trimmed some of the shell around the mounts so the body didn't rub or hang below the bumpers. Also started to mount the light buckets. All the holes for light buckets, cage and body were already cut. I wasn't planning to run all that stuff until I discovered it was pre-cut.
    0310192146.jpg
    0310192142.jpg
Once I got the body to sit right, I added the cage and all of the accessories. It probably added half a pound to the back of the shell.
    0311190102a.jpg
    0311190101.jpg
Finally, I swapped from the PitBulls to the Traxxas Canyons in the kit. They are probably 4.75" while the PitBulls were 4.5". Having the new foam also helped it not to compress so much. The TRX4 is bigger than the SCX, so the PitBulls looked like stock 31" tires on a Tacoma. New ones should do much better.
    0310192359a.jpg
Next thing to do will be mounting the winch to the TRX4 bumper. That'll add some weight to hopefully balance out the cage. The battery holder is a plastic tray and my 5500mah 3s doesn't fit. I stuffed 2 - 1350mah batteries in the tray and those will last at least an hour each, and weigh much less. I will say it was nice driving a really light rig today. Hopefully I can keep it that way.

After helping build the trx4 sport, I will say, I’m pretty impressed with the car. All gears are metal from the box (portal gears, diffs, and trans gears). Instruction book was about 40 pages I think lol.

Also, went to the new “crawler league” meetup at white settlement on Saturday. Placed 6th out of about 15 or so. Need to get my winch working. Could have placed better, I think, but I used a reposition (which counts 30 points aka about 50 secs added to my time.) Simple rules, hitting gates, touching car, using winch/4wheel steer will add points to your time. Reverse is allowed. Must attempt obstacle 3 times, atleast, before can winch. Costs $10 to join the league, which goes to payout of winner of entire series, and $10 for each comp you attend, which pays winners of each comp. Winner took home $80, 2nd $50, and 3rd took home $30. I like what they’re doing. I think the next one of those is the Saturday of ice breaker, over at duck creek, so hoping I can brake away from track long enough to go compete in it!

First couple pics are from comp, the rest are from duck creek yest with some of the duck creek crawlers.
