I've brought this up in the past . I was told that by my dealer. I have found 3 people that changed the size with different answers

One said it did cause a light to appear but it didn't matter
One said nothing happen as far as a dash light
one said the light does flash at times

The emerg braking feature gets confused about the measuring data if the originally data is changed. So the dealer says.

Has anyone ever asked TOYOTA in writing about this. Before you say the dealer is crazy or go to another dealer this has been talked about nation wide.

The light and message that comes on that tells you the system is not working. The manual says you can get the light to turn off if you stop and restart the truck. If you don't have the radar camera behind the Toyota emblem on the grill then this post means nothing. Page 578 in the 19 manual.

You must be talking about the PCS warning. I would think it depends on the tire size and if the truck gets lifted. You can have a dealer re calibrate it if needed, but they will charge you for that. You could get a Pro grille or aftermarket grille that relocates the sensor toward the bottom of the grille assembly and that will help accommodate the lift and tire differences.

I didn't know the sensor could be relocated without a problem.

On the Pro grille and pretty much all other aftermarket grilles the sensor gets installed at the lower portion with a garnish or cover to protect the sensor.
