@boogie3478 Just had windows done on the house. They recommended and used this caulk since it is higher quality and doesn't crack or break; meant for all season and available in black, white or clear!

We have a 3m heavy bodied seam sealer that we use in the autobody shop. It will work perfect for that gap...and it is black too....and it's free, free free free.

 

Great video. It may sound counter intuitive but when the hole saw pilot bit bites and sucks inward *sometimes* it is helpful to apply pressure and drill counterclockwise. If the pilot bit is sharp it will still cut through and drill a clean hole. Once the pilot hole is drilled then continue drilling clockwise.

We've had some decent weather days ... usually followed by 2 weeks of pure gray overcast.

@boogie3478 B, I'm on the fence. I'd like the straps to be longer but maybe I just need to give it time to break in. It's not rubber but it's not plastic either. It is very flexible because they folded it into a tiny box, that fooled me.





The shovel on the other hand was well worth the $46 bucks we paid! Thanks again for the hook up

 

I just wish they didn't put the PITA to remove stickers on the shovel head. Gotta soak them in warm water now to get them off.

I am ready. Probably because you guys made it look so easy.

 

The drilling really wasn't too bad. To be honest the biggest pain of the install was getting the rubber S piece in place in the middle of the fender, and then trying to attach the washers/locknuts on the 5 studs. I was never able to get the one on the bottom right side of the snorkel on because it's too close to the snorkel body inside the fender (didn't put that in the video), but the snorkel is still completely solid with only 4 of the bolts secured.

When you guys do the install you might be able to get that 5th bolt started with the locknut by putting the snorkel body in place BEFORE attaching the rubber S piece to it. Either way it's a major pain.

 

Just watched the video. I had no idea that a pillar bracket was supposed to go under! Interesting.

 

That's what the Dobinson's guy said but that seems like it would have been a huge pain. I prefer it bent the other way like I did it.
