Tire fit?

Sorry In advance for my ignorance I’m completely new to this. I was wondering will these tires fit on my 2019 Tacoma SR5 without a lift kit? 33″ BFG KO2 AT Tires (Snowflake rated)

What configuration? I know some guys run skinny 33’s. 255 somethings will work, 285 something’s probably won’t. With enough chopping and welding though anything’s possible on here.

Never heard or seen a tire be advertised as snowflake rated, intersting. Those look like 285 somethings though, so I’m going to say no. If you want to imitate that truck you’ll have to lift yours, and/or do some chop chop in the wheel well area and have rubbing probably with the stock suspension

 

Looks like a 285/70R17 or 285/75R16. They will take some work to fit.

 

those tires are 305/65/17 so the answer to your original question is NO, they won't fit on a stock Tacoma. you will definitely need a lift and probably a CMC as well.

also, that size is $320 each tire. $1280 for 4.

Will those fit just fine?

 

I have a sport (so 17" wheels). I put a slightly larger 265/70-17 (31 inch tire) on it before my lift and they fit just fine. Nothing hit or rubbed on road or off road. You'll be just fine.

 

Just FYI, I had 275/70/17 installed (32”) before my 1” and it fit but would rub with the wheel about 80ish% turned I’d say. I do have -12mm offset wheels though so the stock wheels may provide better clearance. Just a thought if you’re wanting a big tire with the stock suspension.

How did the 265/70/17" work out? You mentioned that you ran them before you lifted? I am getting ready to put on the same tire and am somewhat concerned because I pull a boat. Did you notice any torque issues? Or shifting issues?

 

Here you go. I did mine a while lot cheaper than their unit. Bilsteins lift, Toyo tires, OEM pro sema wheels, pro grill, heated leather, auto remote start and more.

Work great for my truck. No notable difference from stock and no weird shift point issues. Unexpected bonus - my speedometer is spot on now.

 

285/75/16 will work with a three inch lift and 0 off set wheels. No cutting or chopping.

 

Does that mean they are triggered whenever someone says something politically incorrect?

 

This topic has been debated to death. At this point I’ll believe it when I see it and no one has been able to show anyone yet.

Anyone who knows anything about fitting wheels knows it’s about wheel width not lift height.

Tire rub seems to be one of the most subjective things on this forum.

Listen, I’ll explain it as clearly as I can and you can believe or not believe as you see fit but here’s the deal.

I just did a three inch lift and put 285/75/16’s on my 2019 OR. I had to run them on the stock rims for a week till my wheels came in. While on the stock wheels, the tires rubbed on the UCA’s and no where else. When the wheels came in - +1 or 0 offset, depending on whether you believe the box they came in or the stats on the documentation - they were mounted and they clear perfectly.

Absolutely no rubbing anywhere. Not on the fenders, not on the UCA’s - no where.

Sorry if that goes against what the echo chamber here on TW preaches but that’s the reality - as in “real world results” regardless of what anyone says should happen. I don’t know what else I can say to make it any clearer.

Another popular one is that a 285/75/16 won’t fit in the spare compartment under the bed. It does. Just barely, but it does. I keep reading about how it do ant though so I guess I’ll have to tell that one that is there under mine right now to go home...

 

Post a video or don’t, otherwise no one cares. Everyone knows if you drive straight and stay on the road there’s minimal to no rubbing. As soon as you put that suspension through it’s paces you begin to rub and have to make some modification. 99% of people who have 285s rub. So no one really cares about the 1%er, a lot of those 1%ers have even come back asnd admitted to rubbing or making modifications. Everyone also knows that a 285 will fit in the spare.

Again this topic has been debated to death and this is about as far as I’ll entertain the discussion.
