I don't hear any road noise or exhaust at all. The truck does have a honing sound going up a hill under a hard throttle but that's it. The doors fit perfect and sounds like a huge expensive car when it closes. The tires are quiet and the flasher doesn't make a loud clicking sound. All the GM and Ford trucks made a noise when the steering was turning from a start , Tacomas don't. Good job Toyota. My wife noticed how quiet it was within a few minutes.

I just finished my taxes to. The tax coma will subside eventually.

    It gets better.

I agree! It's nice to see a positive post about these trucks.

I guess I'll start looking at a set of headers and some Borla mufflers and a really loud cold air intake !!I long for that sucking sound. I want something that will make the interior mirror vibrate most of the time. OH , wait a minute. I'm 72 not 22. My bad , I keep forgetting. :duel:What I really want is a set of Rims/Tires wide enough to throw mud all the way down the side of the truck. I may even screw around with the springs and shocks so when I run over a manhole cover my head tears a hole in the headliner. Sorry , I did it again. Old people do things like this. You can agree with a single word. YES :frusty:

What is the noise when you shut it off? Sounds like a pump or a valve for maybe half a second

I love my Taco, and am borderline fanboy, but I would never call my Taco quiet. I wonder sometimes if there are even rubber moldings around the rear doors or a window is partially cracked open.

The mid/high frequency attenuation in these trucks really is amazing for a pickup.

Love my 18, but it's no where near as quiet as my 07. Mostly engine noise. Road noise is about the same.
Then that damn rattle started happening and now that's all I hear in the mornings. :(

If a tree falls in the woods, and no one is around, does the tree really make a sound:confused::crazy:

My Tacoma is the quietest car/truck I have ever owned.
