gotcha i was reading on them and it said you are going to want a bump stop if its less then 4" lift

also i have dakars they dont have 5" lift?

its only 2.75" of lift

 

Crawled under it and finished my 120k service with the differential oil and transmission drain and fill. Took a 1/2" drive breaker bar to get the diff fill bolt loose and then like an idiot I forgot a washer on the level bolt for the transmission and tried to pull it back out to correct on unlevel ground and got a nice stain on the driveway from that. Didn't lose much of the fluid at all, but I'm still going to top it off next oil change (within a week). All things considered though the standard maintenance on these trucks is so easy, dealer wanted a huge amount of money to do it.

 

Yeah I’ll have the bump stops and ubolt flip kit in there before the truck flexes at all, I barely drive it as is.

Had a rear shock go out on my ‘13 prerunner and decided to go ahead and give her a little bump. Installed Bilstien 5100’s with OME 885’s up front and an add a leaf in the rear. I bought the front struts pre-assembled and they were advertised as a 2” lift. They showed up installed on the 2nd snap ring mount location. Shame on me for not clarifying that I wanted them at the stock/bottom mount location as the front sits a little higher than I was hoping. I may break them down eventually and move the mount down. Still very happy with it. Running 265/75r16 Falken Wildpeak ATW3s. Will bump up the tire size when these wear out which I’m hoping is a long ways off. My stock fronts were sagging pretty bad after 180K miles and I ended up gaining 4” up front from this setup. Here’s some measurements and of course, before and after shots.

Pre-Install measurements (from ground to bottom of fender)

Driver Front: 34 3/4”
Driver Rear: 36 1/2”
Pass. Front: 35”
Pass Rear: 36 5/8”

After:
Driver Front: 38 5/8”
Driver Rear: 38 5/8”
Pass Front: 39
Pass Rear: 38 3/4”

 

A little break cleaner will make that stain disappear.

The picture of the 5100’s looks like the 885’s are on the bottom snap ring spot.

 

Thanks! You just can’t see it from that angle, looking straight on. If you peak under the lower spring mount you can see that the bottom snap ring mount is open and that it’s seated on the 2nd setting. It is growing on me, or maybe I’m just getting used to seeing it it level as it has always had a forward rake. However, I’m always hauling stuff for work or packing down the bed for camping so I’d actually prefer a little forward rake so that rear isn’t comically low when I have the bed full or boats/boards up top.

The truck rides great, and I like the taller stance so I’m happy. Thanks for the feedback.

Soon to go in is a suspension redo. I have SPC adjustable UCAs, Dakar EL096Rs, OME nitrocharhers front and rear shocks, and total chaos HD alignment cam gussets going on. I also added JBL door speakers to go with my JL sub.

FYI: I will have 1.5” progressive AALs on the stock leaf pack, Freedom off-road UCAs, Bilstein 5100 adjustable front shocks, and some other things for sale soon.

 

Looks really good, i dont the same setup, but i done the rear shocks as well, and eibach springs. Always had good luck out of eibach, so i decided to go with them. It will settle some, you will lose around a quarter inch or so, but i think it about sets perfect man. Thats the stance of mine now. In the summer i run aftermarket wheels and 265/75/16 bf goodrich all terrains, with a little offset on the wheels. Makes the stance almost perfect.

Truck looks really good though!!!! You will love the improvement on the ride!!!!

Oh the lines are definitely do able. I did mine in the driveway. Idk about doesn’t take long though...
The upper connections are STOOOOOOPPPIDDDD
