Did your 3rd gen. come with the bed rail across the front of the bed?

My Tacoma has the bed rail on both sides but NOT across the front. I keep seeing pic's of guys with mounting options and I'm pissed because at first glance a piece of that stuff is $70 =/-.

Think I have any traction with the dealer on this?

    Thank you.

It is was deleted for the 3G but the 2G one fits perfect. All the holes are there.

2nd Gen Tacoma comes with the front rail, you can however add that yourself to your truck.

NOPE. No front rail. Sucks because I'd like one also. No traction for dealer negotiating.

    Thank you.
Yeah, I saw some bed rail for sale. Do you know of the best way to mount it? I have a shell so reaching the outside of the front of the bed will be impossible.

Anyone with experience mounting this stuff? Appreciate the help.

The fasteners are already there. It mounts from the inside. I have the OEM 2G front bed rail in my 3G. Took five minutes to install. I have a canopy/cap/shell

I took mine off my 2nd Gen before I got the 3rd so it bolted right up. You attach it on the inside so I don't think your cap should get in the way.

Yeah I crawled up under my tonneau cover to mount mine. Put my axe and pick on it. Things I'll probably never need but they are there if I do.

This is strange, I was looking up the part number so I could order one too but went out to my shop and I have one on my truck.
It was built 10/17. Maybe they use the parts up that they have then don’t mfg any more? I can’t imagine Toyota selling trucks
    and leaving that piece off.
