    I think so as well. Trailer will hold anything and more than the gx will tow, perfect for other toys. Slide in ramps...all the fun.

    I'll do it if you're OK will less-than-perfect welds and don't mind waiting a month until I wrap up my own truck projects.

    Which offroad shop did he call? Assuming high-country, that would explain the answer. I would try calling creepshow offroad, or any of the local welders like Native Son or All Forms Fab.

    Nope, seems super solid. The step has a capacity of 550lbs. Don’t know how much I trust that number but I don’t think I will have any fat people loading a trombone onto my roof.

    Hahaha. I was just reading that and my first thought was what the loop on the door would be rated for under a vertical load. I bet less than 550 pounds.

    Wouldn't be a vertical load. Would be closer to straight pull out.
    I think you'd be more likely to dent the pillar below the loop if you were to cause any damage.
