    Too few to list.
Stay away from Duratracs if you want quiet.

Pretty much this. Its quieter than an old truck but by no means quiet. When we take long road trips we usually take something else.

Also the engine ticking......Jesus Christ. There are times I have to turn the turck off at drive through places because they are having a hard time hearing me over the idling truck.......that gets old. Ive noticed with very slight throttle input you can pretty much get it to go away so probably injectors.

All depends on what your used to I suppose. We have owned Lexus and various other German brands. The truck is loud in comparison but then again its a truck

OVT made engine quite, but the real issue is the road/rear tires noise, amplified by the bed, entering via rear vents.

I am also amazed at how quiet my 19 TRD OR AC! It's like a tomb, people comment all the time.

I do have an issue though, once I start the engine and get on the highway, it's not as quiet??

Added Skid Plate, Tiger Armor Steps, MX2 Bakflip, Curt Hitch/ Harness; 2nd Air Filter mod , drain hose mod, knob mod, seat mod, , OEM Bed mat, tailgate debadge', fog light install / mod.;Door Seal Noise Fix Mod.
Hey , did you get the mod fix for the window seal noise at hwy speed with cross winds. I fixed my 2015 kazoo noise , with no help from Toyota CS Dept with a service order number provided. Went to TW forum for helped , fixed with a $5 irrigation tubing mod. No Noise and wife now wants to drive my truck. I picked the 3/4 in irrigation tubing and white grease from Lowe's and ran it inside the top portion of the door seal , through the existing holes already there for drainage. Toyota has replacement seals with a harder seal , however the older seals are still being sold by vendors....this mod fix worked and noise free 4 months. Thanks for sharing. MSG Taco Medic

Haven't done the doors yet, but the rear of the cab has zero sound deadening also. I'm going to try the Boom Mat Spray on the rear cab panel, and the foam filters in the rear vents. I think that 1/2 of the sound is coming from the rear air vents. I don't find the 3rd Gen Access Cabs to be very quiet, although, you have to realize that I drove an Avalon for 5 years before I bought my '18.

Theres nothing in the inner doors, some on the door card, but in all the vehicles I've worked on there has never been any deadening in the door itself. I pulled the carpet to run wires in the Tacoma and there is a negligible amount under there as well.

So far adding Noico 80mm to the doors has done little for actual sound deadening, but it's not really intended to do that. I added it to reduce vibration. I just ordered more to finish the rear doors, I will eventually add CCF and vinyl later.

Mine is only quiet when its off. Engine sounds like a diesel plus atrocious wind and road noise. They need to go back to the drawing board. I still like it.

I'm with you on that OP. Both my GF and I were amazed at how quiet the cabin is on our test drive. Noticeably quieter than my 2017 CR-V, 2016 WRX or GTI.

That was the key selling point that convinced me to dump my rattle-ridden 2018 Jeep Wrangler for a Toyota Tacoma.
