They are a little whiter but not much really. As far as I know there is no halogen that will be white like the DRL's unless you give up significant performance and get a blue coated bulb.

The first page has the info you need in comparison to stock. BUT, since I'm feeling nice today, here ya go:

Here is a comparison of stock vs the Osram +100.

Here is a comparison between the same Osram +100 vs the GE +130.

You can see the GEs do quiet a bit better than the +100s, although the +100s do better in bulb life.

My favorite is when they are in Tacomas that show up at my house for mod help, and it is always 2nd Gens with mega glare since they don't have projectors. After the mods are complete it is usually dark outside so I challenge them to a little light test with a lux meter. The stories are usually the same on how these LEDs were promised to be the best and work like a halogen, they were really expensive, ect. Afterwards, every time, they remove the expensive LEDs to upgrade their lights.

I emailed Rallylights to see if they had any hidden gems like the Hella Osram Hyper H9s for us H4 guys. They said in the last few weeks they have sold more H9s than the previous 2 years combined. In other words a demand jump of roughly 2500%.

When they contacted me about the backorder delay, I told them about TW and this thread and sent him a link. @crashnburn80 should get an affiliate deal with them!

Such a stark contrast with the GE'S, just...wow
Stock h11's last around 1,000 hours. Long life, low output h11's are especially used by the manufacturer to (in my opinion) minimize complaints from people about swapping out bulbs more often. Have to decide if the ability to see at night is worth the reduced lifespan.

As many others have stated, I can attest personally that the GE's are by far better than stock, as in no comparison. (Edit) Now, I ordered these prior to reading up on the Hella h9 conversions, which seem to be the best bang for your buck with similar output and longer life, as well as a reduced cost, in comparison to the GE's. For now, for less than the cost of a full tank of gas, the GE upgrade is worth every penny.

Yes, not being affiliated with any company means I can find, test and recommend the best across all companies, rather than being confined to one company’s product line.

Beat me to it! Well put.

I mean, everybody wants to go to heaven, but not many of us wanna die!

Halogen is a spectrum of Bulb life vs Performance. So you can effectively choose where you want to be on that line, but the more life you opt for, the lower the performance you will have and inversely the more performance the lower the life.

Bulb Life__________________________Performance <-Choose your location on the line.

Philips +100s are better than stock and in the 450 hour range, but their output is not going to be exceptional like the GE or Hella Osram Hyper H9. Compared to the H9, by choosing the Philips +100s you are basically saving yourself one bulb change over the course of a little over two years for a much lower performing bulb.

Not exactly. I presently run the H4 Osram Hyper 85/80w H4s, which is part of the reason I knew that if the Hella H9s were manufactured by Osram in their Hyper series they would be excellent. However the H4 Hypers are no longer produced, I was kinda hoping maybe one of their Hella H4s was another version of the Hypers in disguise, like the H9s. They gave stock wattage performance recommendations. In the H4, Hypers are all increased wattage, so I refocused the question. I haven't heard back yet, but I expect they don't have an equivalent.

If you get a lot of UPS shipments or like to be aware of shipments, you can sign up to have UPS notify you instead. They just email me whenever my address is entered into the UPS system with an expected delivery date. They usually notify me something has shipped before the shipper.
