    I grabbed a vin off the net , off a pro that was for sale , parts guys were super cool about it... I was denied by 2 other dealerships that was a year ago. Might be easier now

    Thanks for the insight y’all. Seemed like it shouldn’t be a big issue, but it def made me pause for a second. Guys I called about the parts and got my truck from won’t be the place I go for any service anyways; they’re a little further out than a few other dealers my way. Just thought I’d use them to get me the grill since I dropped some notable coin with them already and hoped they wouldn’t put up a fuss for ordering it like I’ve heard of some places doing.

    And thanks for the specific parts reference, that’s solid reference material

    Dealership apparently decided I needed a VIN number to purchase the grill...

    Found one for a 2018 Pro in a forum here and was going to order from a site that has the OEM parts, checkeredflag.com. Anyone heard of these guys? Not sure if it’s a dealership, but seems legit.

    Also was looking for the locknuts for the sensor but the part listed in this thread doesn’t come up that way. According to what they have and their parts diagrams, all I need is the garnish and grill. Thoughts?

    This. Like Weezy I just found a used Pro for sale near me in Hampton Roads, entered that year, make, model, and VIN in the notes at the bottom of my order and had no problems. My dealer told me they had no issues with a sensor warranty or recalibration as long as it was a Toyota part and I hadn't made any obvious installation errors.

    Yea I get that , I just got mine in December I sure some prices have went up, and now a lot of people are having VIN issues. I was cool with paying up to get the oem and no vin issues.

    Yup I bought my Taco from Checkered Flag. They wanted a VIN when I inquired about the Pro grille a few years ago. It was pretty expensive though, I think you can find one cheaper elsewhere @Lumbrzach

    Actually prices went down. The 2018-2019 grille for some reason is much cheaper than 2016-2017 one. I bought mine at cost for $179.00. I also bought the harness and the push nuts. I didn't want to half-ass it just to save a few bucks.
