What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

man i forgot about that flare side they did...

 

Yeah, couldn’t resist and I installed both. One of my rear shocks was completely blown out after a year and the Tacoma is my secondary vehicle
It rides really nice now but I’m still pissed I got about 10k miles out of the previous set of 5100s.

 

i know the feeling i have one thats messed up and one thats blown out but mine are almost 2 years old now

 

Yeah my other one was on its way out. The one that was blown had 0 resistance to it and lots of shaft play.

 

mine idk what happened besides all the fluid leaked out oh well time for something else

 

Picked up parts that came in for the Taco, hose clamps, gasket, bracket, seal.
Seat spacers arrived, hope to put them in tomorrow to see how they are.

 

I priced a few places online but ended up calling Low Range Offroad and they gave me a good deal. Cheaper than what they, and anyone else, had advertised for pre-assembled 5100s with OME coils.

 

What do you need these for?

 

seat spacers. For height.

 

where'd you get the spacers?

 

Haha. I bought mine used and someone had just used a bunch of washers up front and literally a 2x4 block in the back...

Is this for short people? I had to raise my rear view mirror because it sat too low...

I gotta tell you... those dealerships really go through the trucks when they inspect them on trade in....

 

Sadly, it was sitting in the salty air of Gloucester. A lot of it is rebuilt now, and I love this truck. So thankful.

 

It's definitely not for me. 6'4" and can't see the stop lights without hunching down as it is. And that's with a 3" lift.

To raise the rear of the seat to help with comfort on long drives or if you feel like the rear of the seat is too low.
I bought two pair so I can do both seats.
I'll paint them once I'm happy with the product.

 

It's like seeing a double rainbow or something, just purely majestic when that happens!! haha

 

so it just tilts the bottom of the seat forward? hmmmm
