Stock tires, drove 91 performance before lift and now after, still with stock tires. Find the tip in was fine before, a little jumpy at slower speeds when not having an open road to lay into it..bumper to bumper LA traffic scenarios.

Post lift with King coilovers and rears, Archive Garage u-bolt flip kit, and a swapped in medium set of OME dakars, tip in is pretty great even in slow traffic situations, guessing the heavier springs balanced it a little?? Will be going to 33’s in a little, will follow up then as well.

Yes, please let us know how the tip in feels when you go to 33s.

Ditto! On the above highway driving comments.

I have about 500 miles on 91 performance (2018 4x4 4DR Limited A60). The tip-in IS too aggressive. Before the "haters" chime in, I am ALL about power and aggressiveness! I could give a shit about gas mileage! I want the most power I can get in this truck. As soon as the turbo is available I will have one! That being said, the tip-in is "mostly" fine except when you are in stop and go traffic. It makes the truck too jumpy when you are on and off the throttle without shifting out of first gear.
My perfect tune... Less tip-in and an additional 250hp!:burnrubber:

    Um, whatever it came with?

Actually now I have knobby snow tires with studs. But I assume they're stock size.

So I’m pretty much stock, 32” tires, icon suspension, trd catback exhaust, Stock 3.91 gears. Anyone think performance would be greatly improved with 4.11 or 4.56 gears?

Ran 1.05 87 Base on 04B03. Shifted good and drove well. Really wanted to feel the Performance Tune so updated to 04B04. Did not try stock 04B04. Immediately flashed to 1.05 87 Performance 04B04. Drove great initially but that was a 5 mile drive home with a maximum speed limit of 40 mph and accidentally had ect on because of my ect always on mod. Next day drove with etc on & ect off. Shifting was not good. Shifted too fast. 0mph-35mph into 4th gear and lugging. Ran 1.05 87 performance for 120+ miles and couldn’t take it. Tried to flash to 1.05 Base 87 and was unsuccessful 4 times. Tried 04B04 Stock and it worked. Drove to work the next day on stock and it accelerated and shifted nicely. During lunch this afternoon I figured I’d try once again to load 04B04 1.05 87 Base. Loaded Successful. Took the long way home. 35 miles on 04B04 1.05 87 Base & truck runs great. Noticeable difference from the stock 04B04 tune. Good power and predictable shifting. Hopefully in a couple of hundred miles this will be the ticket. Wish the Performance tunes would work. Maybe I haven’t given them enough time but if the truck drives like crap after tuning it’s hard to stick with a tune that may or may not get better with time. The excessivley fast shifting and lugging is what’s killing me on the performance tune. *Note: I have been on 91 premium on every tank before loading my first Ovtune.

I like the idea of 4.56 gears

I was running base 1.05/87 on 04b02 since it came out. Went to base 1.05/87 on 04b04 this past Tuesday and there is significant difference in shift behavior, shift speeds and torque converter control that is noticeable in each gear change. It's way more intuitive.

One of the listed features I'm most interested in is the "custom tuning", any insight as to when this will be available?

I’m experiencing the same thing. I haven’t flashed back to the base 1.05 I’m trying to see if it will smooth it’s self out so far It loves to lug and upshift to fast and constantly downshift and upshift and when you accelerate it takes a long pause before doing anything. It has lots of power but it just doesn't put it down linear and smooth. But maybe I still need to break it in. 1 have around 150-170 miles on 91 perf.

Tried 91 performance for a week, but got tired of looking like an impatient dildo in stop and go traffic with the throttle tip-in, so I flashed 1.05 91 base. To me, everything about 1.05 is amazing except the 3-4 shift. I think 1.04 had the 3-4 shift completely nailed, 1.05 is a downgrade in this regard. It actually allowed 3rd gear to wind out enough instead of dumping right into 4th gear. The 3-4 shift in 1.05 behaves a lot more like the stock tune where it will shift into 4th way too quick, back to 3rd, and back up to 4th again.

Exactly my opinion. In slow traffic starts it is hard to keep it smooth without the passenger complaining about jerking their neck a bit. Stock tires.

it seams 4.56 would be a little sweeter for most driving. 3.91 is pretty tall, any idea what gears Mat has on the test truck?
