^^^These guys are leading you down the right path.

For the record, though, the commonly available 6 inch lifts for Tacomas achieve their lift by dropping the front diff down with a bunch of brackets (commonly called drop bracket lifts). This lifts the truck by dropping the diff and LCA's down. The end result is that your truck is tall and lifted and may look the part to your average Joe, but you aren't actually gaining any off-road performance and in most cases, these lifts make the truck less capable (increasing the center of gravity without increasing suspension travel, increasing the amount of failure points in addition to putting increased strain/leverage on the factory attachment points). To make things worse, they often come with cheap shocks that aren't any better than the OEM shocks you're replacing unless you upgrade to the previously recommended coilovers but even then, you're still dealing with all of the other negatives. On-road performance isn't enhanced either because of the raised CG and because these lifts often change the factory geometry to reach that 6" lifted appearance/stance. My buddy's 6" Pro Comp lifted Tundra took a really nice truck and ruined it with a lousy ride. He's thrown money at it with really, really nice Radflo coilovers and shocks but it still rides like a mule on stilts. At least it looks tall, I guess.

Let the flaming begin, but the right 3 inch suspension lifted truck will run circles in every way around your standard DBL truck. On road, off-road and over a longer timeline/lifespan.

FOX 2.0s, SPC LR UCA. Set at 3", now sits at 2 3/4s with all of the steel bumper, winch, side bars and skids. Rear is another cost, 3" expedition springs, with FOX resi shocks.

Thanks guys for all these comments, this is what I had in mind first was to do the 3-inch type. But while I was running dogs the other day getting in and out of my truck I hit my head about three times, I'm not a huge guy I'm six foot weigh about 270 and I just got tired of hitting my head so I thought maybe the 6-inch Lift would be better LOL. Then I saw I can get it off for 1000 so my mind started turning gears swayed me a different way. But I'm getting back on track now and just trying to build the best bang for my buck for that thousand

I like that it's beautiful for sure, but I believe that would be out of my budget for this little project of mine LOL. I bought this truck with the intentions of not going overboard and you guys are not helping

That's my path. Pretty happy with the ride and capability of the OME lift I've got but am upgrading this spring to extended reservoir adjustable Kings all-around. That seems to be the path for many here. They lift once with the cheaper stuff, run it for a bit and then move on to the spendier stuff. OP...lots of good deals to be had in the Classified section here if you can wait and watch. I'll have my OME lift for sale in the next month.

It's my busy season now, so will have to wait until April to upgrade, but if you can wait til then, I'll hit you up.
Sexy. Still researching so I'll check these out but I'm leaning towards Kings on a bunch of levels.
