About to get an OME lift. Are the extended break lines absolutely necessary, or just a good idea?

 

Good idea for the rear, the ome rear shocks won’t over stretch them at full droop. What setup are you looking to get?

888's,firm strut, heavy duty dakar, and UCA's. Never talked about extending brake lines. Sounds like I may want to before getting off-road with the upcoming setup.

 

With OME Dakars in the back, 886s in the front with Nitrochargers all around i didn't need the extended brake lines. The rears were close enough to max extension that I didn't feel comfortable at full articulation. The front and rear lines weren't extensive so I just went for it.

 

Nice, I’m still on stock lines have not had any issues but I have rear lines collecting dust.

It's in a link that Matt sent - later on in that link folks were wondering about the "breather" vs. the "filter". Had some good points. I have the breather. But room to plunk in the filter if I feel like it!

To borrow a quote today from @hoverlover ; "anything worth doing is worth overdoing!". So, you spend thousands on suspension stuff that will let you break things, and opt NOT to give your brake lines some attentions? I know you got it! Matt, knock the dust off next time you playing underneath!

Apparently, I have set FaceBook afire, because they are having an ATXTC meetup at Kreuz in Lockhart, same time as TTC, but runs longer. @Firsttaco4x4 , I think I see your truck in a pic from last year, but hard to tell.
It was a Tundra even. Now it's a truck event. I don't know, but grabbing a rib before retiring for the day and back to the home life seems sane to me.

 

O.K., so I'm adding brake lines to the lift agenda! What more money do I need to add to overdoit?

Yours is too new to replace all the other suspension pieces found there, but I bet someone gonna say you might as well spend money on LCA and UCA if you haven't! and Bump Stops! Everyone loves them - I guess they are like popcorn!

That’s a little much but complete overkill is what we’re striving for.

 

Given mileage, yeah I mentioned that 4 letter word, I'm already thinking of a regear! The truck is already awesome! Why do I feel a need to bring out the "Totally Awesome" in it?
