I need to find someone to 3D print the 1/4 turn clip to make an adapter for the boot to knob connection, just going to use a few dabs of RTV for now. But lovin the knew knob. Black tape is way too ghetto to keep the boot up.20190308_164631.jpg 20190308_154243.jpg

got the roof rails installed by SF Toy and went back to Rolling Stock to get the Wild Peaks on! Got the 265/75/16’s. Thank for the recomendations! No rubbing at all!
I think the front needs to go higher.
The rear looks fine to me.

Make no mistake, I am indeed a YouTube fan, and i have nothing but admiration for anyone who is willing to share their knowledge and experiences, and open themselves up to all manner of abuse...usually from guys who still live in their mother's basement and never actually DO anything beyond eat Cheeto's and watch, uh, educational videos. You know the ones I mean...the ones that should be titled "Things you will never get to do with people you will never get to meet"

So, I had no qualms about going to YouTube to seek guidance in installing my Pop n Lock today; there are a bunch of videos of out there, and the lads i watched today do a great job with instruction, as well as offering some pretty cool products.

But...their 24 minute video glossed over some things...there is an amazing amount of salt that has accumulated in just three short months. Mostly on top of the muffler, just waiting for an unsuspecting soul to crawl underneath with eyes wide open. As well, there are an equally amazing number of sharp hard places that you can only find with your chin, your nose, or your forehead. And "just run the wire along the existing wire and zip tie it together" really means putting your hands in places that they are not meant to go, and finding more of those sharp bits, and it means crawling out from under the Taco and going to find a Bandaid. Twice. For two hours.

    But it works.

It ain't glamorous or really cool, but being able to lock and unlock my tailgate ranks right up there with the bed mat or interior LED lights.

And I shed blood, so I have another endorsement on my Man Card.

@whitetaco97 Really like the grille!! I've been considering solid black for mine, but may have to reconsider now that I've seen yours.

Can’t you pull the boot over the top of the fine new shift knob and clamp it (zip it) from the inside. Put it back and you should be good. You can layer some strong tape around shift lever inside boot to prevent future sliding of boot.

I dig the idea of adjusting the compression high for everyday driving and getting the benefits of no swaybar on the off road!

Yes, I am proud to have done the hard work myself... from changing the fender flares, de-badging, decal measurements and all, plus I learned a lot and met helpful TW brothers with my build. And I can share to you guys that it is really possible to be done...same as much as how we all prefer the trd pro grill... I’d just rather do it all the way. Just takes patience. Tomorrow will be the hood scoop, hood decal and bedside decal kit install. Next week will be the BHLM and the Pro leather seat covers.

Installed my Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover this afternoon. Pretty happy with it! I’ll be posting with full thoughts later. Bakflip could do a better job with QA out the door.
