ECGS bushing swap meet

Looks like my bushing came in! Woohooo!!! See y'all tomorrow. I'm going to try and get there 8am too. See y'all in the am.

 

20 year old kid with an impact gun, inbound.

 

32 year old adult(?) inbound with donuts.

 

In typical life fashion, my Saturday has mostly cleared up at the last second such that I could have made it this morning, but only if I was onsite at 8:00 AM. But now the time frame doesn't work out to stop at Mule to grab the parts, get up to LFP, get the swap done and down to Tacoma in time to pick up my daughter.

I'll get it done someday, just not this weekend. Probably just go the easy (expensive) route and have Mule do it, plus a CMC at the same time.......

 

Whelp. Drove down to Des Moins for the Maxtrax. Wheel didn’t fall off and no more vibration. Yeehaw!

 

Yes thank you @SaphiraTaco for being such an accommodating host! Everything went really smooth, we had quite the needle bearing replacement assembly line going! I actually did have a little vibration in my steering wheel that I thought wasn’t needle bearing related, but more so the usual Discount Tire not being able to properly balance tires, but it’s gone now so hooray for me!

It’s a 6” 3/8” extension. If people could check there tool kits that would be great.

 

You can come by anytime. I have the tool and feel confident at the moment with this mod...

 

I know I was using that at some point. I'll double check my gear.

 

Well I made it home and everything is still together! Thanks @SaphiraTaco for being a great host and thank you to everyone for all the help in getting this done, the tools, and for teaching me a lot! It was great meeting everyone, I had an awesome time!

And I did make it back ok on my questionable lugs after shearing off the proprietary Toyota lug tool for the Rock Warrior wheels with my DeWalt battery impact gun.

 

@SaphiraTaco - Any luck locating the extension? What brand is it?

It is basically a vendor demo exhibition, I have used the event to build good industry contacts and buy stuff at significant trade show discounts. I already have a small group going but wanted to extend it to others, though I don't want to run a huge caravan, hence posting in here. Warning, if you attend the event you are highly likely to make some irresponsible spending decisions based on trade show discounts.
