Surprised anyone would be seeking this one in particular after all the QC issues showed in this thread. May be worth reading through before purchasing.

These threads are great. I remember when I was gonna order a KB Voodoo rack. Read his thread about the product and liked the design. He’s also local to me so I figured how could I go wrong? Thread said one price, I get to the website and it was $100 more. Emailed him about the error thinking ok, a stand up guy should honor their error. Nope! Dude goes back in and edits the OP to change the price and tells me that’s what it is. So I decided to not order a rack. Looks like in hindsight it was the best decision I could of ever made. Because I surely would of been left with a rusted to shit rack in my garage, or I would of drove by his place and tossed it threw his window. Either situation wouldn’t of been good.

I just feel bad for the other bastards who have order products and gotten screwed over. But it’s starting to get to the point where if people are still ordering products and their are still problems after the numerous problems threads, that at this point it’s pretty much on the buyer for not doing their homework. Knowing there have been a ton of coating problems, if you’re going to try and trust an order anyway because you like the design, atleast inspect and reject the order if you’re not 100% satisfied.

Seems like all the complaints are for the steel racks. Any complaints for the aluminum setup?

My question is valid. I haven't come across any complaints for their aluminum racks. If people are having good luck with the aluminum setup (which seems to be what KB Voodoo has been moving towards), then perhaps they could just discontinue the problematic steel racks.

Aluminum doesn’t rust, but it oxidizes. Not sure what kinda hardware comes with his kits, certain metals speed up the oxidation process. If it’s coated and the coating is failing like on the steel products, you can easily have an issue with oxidation down the road.

The point is.... if he treats the customers this way for steel.... it won't be any different for the aluminum... it has to do with how he conducts himself and his business.

Different method of powder coating. Hang and dip. However, if hang is the method, touch up after powder coated finish baking is a must when it still hot. That being same somebody is lazy doing the job correctly.

Nah he’s trying to rep the benefit of the bullshit some other poor bastard had to deal with. Probably trying to get an $800 rack for $200 bucks.
