3rd Gen REAR Bumper Thread (Feb 2024 Update)

Is it just me or does it look like bumper comes down an extra 3-4 inches from the body?

 

Not quite, but yes. Op has that bumper, it's a first photo in op

Very well built and easy install.

 

I like this setup. It’s simple but functional.

 

Any of you guys have a fold out table and gas rotopax on the swing out....just curious how safe it is to grill on the table with the fuel cans so close?

 

I dont have the table or can mounts....but common sense would tell me NOT to have an open flame grill near a gas can.

 

so are there any more options that support the BSM yet? only saw one on the first post... i don’t see how anyone would spend good money on a aftermarket bumper and not take advantage of a great feature which is incorporated into the truck like that

all these aftermarket company’s need to get off their lazy designing asses and make sure it can sync up with the stock function if i’m spending this kind of money on an aftermarket option... imo lol

 

Anyone ever sell your BSM sensors and box? I know everyone who deleted it isnt just tossing them. Wonderind how much to sell mine for. I got the At the Helm rear HC bumper

 

I recommend you do your research and learn why these companies aren’t integrating BSM into their bumpers. It’s certainly not out of laziness.

 

Had mine listed for a while. No bites. Threw them out.

 

Dam really? I know of one person who sold his for 400. I guess its not really high demand since you need the mirrors too

 

These guys are correct. It all boils down to liability. If you hit someone because the BSM didn’t work. The fabrication companies are just trying to prevent that from being blamed on them because Toyota will say it’s because of the after market bumper.

I used to be mad about the same thing until I started really looking into why.

 

Not to mention, I remember reading that many other companies incorporate the BSM into the tail light rather than the bumper. This allows you to modify the bumper without losing the BSM.

 

Yup the Raptors have the BSM in the tail light..... but then you have to buy a ford.... nty

I wish @C4 Fabrication Would come out with the No cut bumper again. I should have bought one when they offered it. Maybe if enough people here show interest in it they would.

 

High clearance is the only way to go lol

It's only the bedsides...not like you are hacking up the frame.
