What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Well, today I painted my truck, reshaped a few of the body panels, updated the interior, put in a new engine, drive train, wheels. I kept the same license plate.




I think I did well.

 

I miss my '03 Dakota.

 

How did you purchase yours? Was it available firs thing midnight? I checked his website on the 8th around 8am (PST) and did not see them available :-/

 

I’ve failed to be clear - I’d like ECT on one side and something else (camera) on the other.

With those 2 parts, hose clamps, and 8ft of hose I routed it through the frame, remove the tail light assembly, and run it up to the top just under bed rail. A few minutes and a few zip ties and done. I put teflon tape on the threads of the new fitting.

Edit: make sure you leave enough length for full drop so it doesn't pull off!

 

Added my Powertray, blue sea 12 circuit fuse block and Blue sea circuit breaker.

Turned my ‘18 TRD OR wheel and tire take-offs into a sweaty wad of Andrew Jacksons. Just enough for a Prinsu roof rack and a couple of sammiches

 

Blacked out the badges for mine today.

 

Looks great. Paint or dipped?? Looking forward to seeing finished product.

 

Finally had time to install ditch lights, not sure I like the brackets, might want a little lower profile!

Went out tonight and tried the lights in the dark, I am so amazed at the light these two put out. Actually put them on two different switches so I can decide if I need right, left or both.

 

It's a 3 coat Krylon rattle can job.

Looks way better dipped for sure, I've never been a fan of the black and silver Sport wheel look.

 

I haven't actually done anything to modify the truck HOWEVER I ordered my Cooper ST MAXX in 255 85 16 for my currently stock TRD off road access cab as well as ordered a new right tail light, cracked mine by running into a garbage can really slowly at -35`C. It was too cold and I was definitely too tired to be moving the truck at that point.

 

I have no idea where I’d post this, so I thought I’d try here. I totaled my 2017 and snagged the owners manual and the other books that came. It seems like a shame to just throw it away, but I wanted to at least see if someone could use them.
