It is but they are just classified as a 1/4 ton. Then it's fullsize which start out with the 1/2 ton and go up from there. Eddy's dually is classified as a 1 ton.

Sweet it almost matches the Taco!!!

 

Ton ratings these days are misnomers and don’t accurately apply to modern trucks. When ton ratings were originally used, they directly correlated to the payload (i.e. 1/2 ton=1000lbs, 3/4 ton=1500lbs, etc.). The terms mid-size, full-size, heavy duty, etc. are much more accurate than “ton”.

Its 4wd(no more swap nonsense lol) and it's a goddamm monster, the 5.7 really is in a different league. The power rear window is dope too

That is one of my favorite options on the Tundy reminds me of the old 80s wagons with roll down windows like that.

 

Cruising down the interstate at 80mph getting 16mpg in a super quiet cab is a welcome pleasure, Im def getting old now

The 2wd 1995/96 models are listed at 1620. That is with Toyota’s “typical” US market margin (lower than reality).
I’m sure they can carry more than that. So, they SHOULD be in the 1/2-3/4 range IF the classifications were logical. But, they aren’t.
So, it’s a 1/4 officially.

 

Bought another board today. Oops.

 

Now that want to flat bed my truck. I should of got the 5500 for the payload. Vs caring that the 3500 could tow more. But she can still hold weight tho.

Whelp- long day yesterday but TCES won second place in both Primary and Elementary school divisions at the SC state Chess tournament!

Last year the kids won the state championship for the Primary division only. Not bad considering this was only their second year at the tournament!
