How good is this light, received great reviews, I need one for my Glock 9mm. If these are good I will then need a holster to work with the light

I have one on my 870. Believe the reviews that say it's almost/is too bright. It's freaking bright indoors. It's freaking bright outdoors, for that matter.

Quality of it seems great to me, not that I use it much. Glad I read the reviews and didn't buy a Surefire. But for a handgun I'd get a smaller light like a TLR-7 or 3.

Exactly. I have it for an AR-15. For a Glock I’d go smaller.

Older models are 400 lumens. I prefer the screw mount vs others that use a clip system. But yes 800 is a lot for indoor use, pretty easy to blind yourself. Strobe is only useful for very specific times.
Overall, I really like the light and own a few. Highly recommend, just be careful attaching it to Glocks as over tightening it can cause malfunctions.

The agency I work for just adopted WMLs and they went with the streamlight. When I was selling Firearms and fierams accessories for 10 years I would always recommend the streamlight over surefire.

This is old and nobody cares what I think, but I exclusively run the TLR-3 after having a dozen different lights over the last several years. Its light, wont dazzle you indoors in the middle of the night, is <$100, and still as rugged as any other Streamlight product

I have owned TLR1HD's for years and really like them. My agency was giving us the X300 for our Glocks, and they are very tough. We recently switched over to TLR7's. Out of all of them, the TLR1 is my favorite. It is brighter than the X300, has longer battery life, and I prefer the switch on it. The X300 switch is so stiff your sight picture will change when you turn it on. The TLR7 is definitely the easiest to carry, but I hate the switch. Overall length of the weapon system makes a big comfort difference when you are sitting in a car. If you plan on carrying, think hard about the TLR7. If it's a house gun, TLR1 is tough to beat.
