Nothing wrong with tracking it. Discipline is certainly required.

 

Well after 28 days of being really strict on not eating hardly any carbs and zero sugar I had to have a cheat meal. Wife and I went out for pizza yesterday and I ate probably 2/3 of that delicious carb filled vice of mine. I also had a cherry coke and it tasted really sweet to me but it was good with that greasy pizza. I’m back on the horse today to continue my journey towards 200 or under, currently down to 245 from 260.

 

Imo cheat days are a necessity

Is Coke Zero keto friendly?

I haven't drank pop in 15 years. I could never get used to diet soda, so I just quit sugar soda.

Offered a Coke Zero at luncheon and was amazed at how much it really tasted like Coke to me.

 

Yes but not very good for you. I drink them occasionally as well. Zero carbs in coke zero

 

obviously calorie free, but I think I remember reading that the calorie substitute actually makes you crave sugar more. not something I need...lol

Technically yes but as previously stated it’s not a great choice. That said I’ll usually have one if we go to Chipotle.

I used to hate it but now it just tastes like regular coke to me.

 

Chipotle is the only fast food I do anymore. I have a bowl with chicken and/or steak, fajita veggies, salsa, sour cream, cheese and guacamole.

 

I made some Keto pizza with fathead dough, Italian beef, alfredo sauce and cheese. It turned out awesome, pregnant wife approved.

 

Was craving some Thai food so decided on a Massaman (ish) curry dish that I like from my local joint. Sliced/pounded chicken thighs. Sauteed in sesame/chili/avocado oil. Add some chili paste, a bit of Chinese vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice, curry powder to flavor & color then some chicken stock & a 1/2 can of coconut milk. It simmered for maybe an hour while the wife was out taking care of her pony.

Dry heated the cauliflower 'rice' with a bit of S&P and added peanuts to the curry at the end. I like them crunchy. Forgot to add some carrots and some cauliflower stems chunked up as the taters but oh well. Super tasty! If I didn't know that it wasn't real rice I would have no idea it was cauliflower. I hate cauliflower. There's very little residual taste and drowned in curry sauce it's not detectable to me.

 

I have found cauliflower rice to be very good.

Also for the first time in my life booked a hotel (for vacation next week), and made sure they had a gym first, which I plan to use while there!
