Had two new Michelin Defenders mounted and installed at Tim's Tires in Nashville, Illinois today. They had me in and swapped out in about 20 minutes. I went from 265/70-16 to 245/75-16 on the front.
A while back, I had an alignment problem and scrubbed most of the tread off the outside edges of a couple of my nice new-ish Michelins. I found one 245 series Michelin Defender on a clearance table at Wal Mart in Maplewood Missouri for $50. I couldn't pass it up so I bought it, bought another at Sam's and had both installed today. I also had my two best remaining tires flipped to get the better tread to the outside of the tire, and installed on the rear.
I was super impressed with the service at Tim's today. When they were finishing up, I watched. The techs threaded all the lug nuts on by hand, hit them lightly with the impact gun and finished up all four wheels with a torque wrench. AND they all required a little more rotation with the torque wrench before they clicked.
I'm not affiliated with them in any way but can't express enough how happy I was with the service. They were fast, careful and the price was very decent.
If you're ever in the area, look them up.
We've been getting a lot of rain here lately and the new Defenders are performing beautifully!

Thanks! The headlights were retrofitted and the fogs are from BajaDesigns. They are by far the best fogs I’ve had.

I want to do this as well but I can't bring myself to like the LED grid. Still running OE tails for now.

I like how they did the ecoery points and where they put the light cut outs. Looks like you have a really fun project ahead of you assuming you are assembling yourself. Everybody seems to want to either spray paint their bumpers or use the cheap DIY bedliner kits. I recoated mine with Hippoliner and sprayed it with a Schutz gun pretty durable stuff we use at work alot. You can get it in black and tintable. The black doesn't hold up to the sun as well as the tintable so even for black e use the tintable. This is a pic of mine I mixed the tintable with some 040 white paint for a great match

Not sure. It may be a DV8 but it came with a bunch of lights too.

Not sure. The PO was an old guy who put them in. I think they are from a 4R or something.

I will be assembling myself Should be pretty fun. Did you primer it before the hippo liner? Or just Spray it on bare metal?

sprayed ths over an exstng bedlner. The Hppoliner has etching qualities but I would clean the surface really well and spray it with at least etching primer first.

Note: if you use the Hippoliner and a schutz gun spray at 40-50lbs of preasure. You can control the texture by how far from the surface you hold the gun. Don't even try to do it in a heavy coat. 2-3 medium coats works well. If you are in a cooler humid environment it can take about 5 days for it to cure and you can install it. I did mine last fall when it was cool and damp and it took a week. in a heated shop environment just 2 days
