If you really MUST have the Pro then by all means get the Pro. Ooooooorrrrr you buy the Offroad and spent the money saved on making it your own with your own chosen mods which will ultimately be cheaper and will set your truck apart from the rest. And the pride that goes along with that is priceless.

The Tacoma auto sucks, if you like enjoying gears don't get the auto. also if you plan to lift the truck don't spend money on the pro, or if the fact that it sits an inch higher in the front is all you want then go for it. or... with the pro you could add a simple 3/4 top plate spacer and and add a leaf with new longer rear fox shocks and be doing well... so many options!

100%! It’s a decision I have to make since I don’t plan on selling my other car which I spend a ton of time and money on. Definetely not set on a pro, more trying to figure how to buy

That is not entirely true, mine was allocated to the dealer with everything on the spec sheet yet unbuilt.

I cannot answer on the color since the Voodoo was already designated and that’s what I wanted. I was able to adjust certain add-ons. I was able to delete the DAI and decide manual or auto. Plus remove the bumper step and the pro decals. So OP you’ll basically need $500.00 down and wait around 30 days. I was initially told delivery was in June. I had ordered the end of December and received Jan 30.

Is was a cool process and new experience for me. I was able to get documentation on the birthday, location updates and exact delivery day.

You’ll be slightly limited on PRO color choice and options but if you go with another Trim you’ll be able to get whichever options you want, that is available for that package.

Whatever package/trim you end up with will be a good choice.

    And welcome

I debated on man vs auto. The auto can be a little odd. After having an S10 with a manual, manual Jeep, manual Camaro I was just kinda over the shifting thing.

It’s taken some adjustment but I am good with my choice. My wife did comment when she drove my truck yesterday that it’s a little slow shifting. As stated it takes some adjustment. Hopefully in the future Toyota will pay a little more attention to the transmission, a DCT would be awesome.

Thanks for sharing brotha! I had a feeling their must be a way to at least have more control over what you get. I’ll try doing the same, the tracking car process sounds exciting...

Now it may be dependent on the dealer and salesman. I had a good one.

I found the automatic to be the total opposite of 'slow shifting'. The one I drove upshifted very quickly then constantly down and up shifted, in all honesty it was like an epileptic monkey having seizures was playing with the shifter cycling thru 4th, 5th, and 6th gears, ugh!

I bought mine strictly by email and got a better deal than most. Dealerships have a huge internet team now and all you really have to do is find one you like. I emailed seven dealers (separately) with the exact truck I wanted and went at it for three weeks. Drove 73 miles to the best deal and walked out when they tried to add $600 to it. Got an email ten miles away to come get my truck.

I'm waiting to order a 2020. Dealer will call me as soon as orders are open for the 2020. If u want pro then its black white MGM or army green as color options. I would suggest you go take long test drive in 19 to make sure u like it. Make sure to go over some hills if possible on test. The 20 should be exact same ride wise

For my '16, i basically did the same thing. I told them what i wanted and didn't want. That's not exactly a custom order. They put the spec sheet in the system and wait for a truck with those specs to be built and allotted to them. Some dealers were more than happy to do that, some weren't. I don't know how many dealers are in your area, but contact at least two or three if you can.

Damn I like that blue. It's like POW!
That magnificent snorkel would definitely get some laughs at work though.
