Really dumb BHLM question - I did mine, and on one of the lights the spray paint had an interesting reaction. Sanded it down as best I could and repainted, but still am kind of meh on it (as you can see it's just not as smooth). Now that I've resealed it with retrorubber - if I rebake it:
    1. Will it be easier to crack? (please...)
    2. Will I need to re-clean the seal and use new retro rubber or just re-piece it together and rebake?

Kind of wishing I'd help off buying my HID's until I decided to do this - I'd love to do the new projectors.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
It will be much easier to open. I've seen some people clean out the channel while it's still warm very easily. Don't have to get it all out like before. Then just add some new sealer as needed. Hopefully someone who does a lot of them will chime in.

Very happy with the result of this mod. Drove at night in the rain and the quality of light from the RX350 hids is amazing. Flick on the brights, Daylight!

When I was looking at the rx350 on trs (months ago) it had the options for sti lens and tune but when I recently checked I couldn’t find it again- did they stop carrying them?

I never even heard of lightworks before so I’ll check them out. The projector themselves should be the same right? But does anyone have thoughts on who does a better tune?

After reading this whole thread, it seems dd is the better choice for the drl strip and halos. To save me from trying to find it… @mesojdm didnt you do something to the halo diffuser to eliminate the white ring when off and didn’t you add a diffuser to the drl strip?

Still undecided on the side markers… smoke it, leave it amber or

And still debating on the amber acrylic shield for the turn bucket/grill

I just looked too and it appears they do not carry the RX350's anymore. Even the RX350's kit has Morimoto 5.0 projector.

    Interesting

I thought I was off too, was thinking I missed something. Did you buy your Rx350 from trs? If so you remember how much you paid with the lens and tune and what warranty was included

The lightwerks is 330 for the lens & tuned, has a 3 yr warranty. Looks like they have a 1st time customer code for 15% if it works on this

That's the exact same price that TRS had 6mo ago. I believe warranty was 2 or 3yr?

That's exactly what most people do, and why butyl is so much better.

What size halo are those running rx350s getting? I was told 90 and just wanted to double check. Specs say max height 95 max width 100

Need to remember it needs to match your OEM shroud. Mine hss 80's. Here is a pic but I just set the halo in place for this pic. You can go bigger but it wont center without cutting and hiding part of the halo on top.

Ok that makes since- lightwerks said 90 when I asked, not sure why.

I see you got profile halos, I’ll definitely look into these. The only thing that through me off was the fat white ring. Was originally set on dd but for no real reason. I do wish there was a different cover we could use for the drl board
