Yeah. It's on his current story but not a permanent post.

"tread lightly" might come off almost threatening if you sent that.
I'm sure he's already getting reemed. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt that being foreign he isn't aware. Not an excuse by any means, just hope it's something he'll understand was not a good thing.

Ah yeah I see what you mean. Oh well :anonymous:

"Tread lightly" is a pretty common phrase in the outdoors world

That’s why I asked and wondered why you didn’t use dual shielding. Flux core only isn’t a bad route if used properly. Gets expensive doing the dual shielding thing though.

Another welding question -- Can one drag the hand holding the torch across the workpiece surface to aid in maintaining the correct standoff distance from the torch electrode to the workpiece? Or do you have to always float the supporting hand(s) away from the workpiece, which would seem to be much more difficult and tiring?

What is a good first (beginner / intro) welder to get? Is it worth buying new, or better to wait and watch for certain brands / models to pop up on eBay or Craigslist?

I know what tread lightly is but seeing how our friend there doesn't know not to carve in Moab probably doesn't know the phrase haha.
