Since this stuff is from warts on the trunk it's less prone to voids than root burl but point taken. I checked that site and the 200 listings that came up under inserts, also tried threaded insert, threaded wood insert nut, no luck. I did get that hunk pre cut and just need to bore a center hole so I can mount it on a rod and start spinning. 6F2D8203-0BFB-498B-AEC1-68B71995C017_zps_c6ea9a8bd718b7f7501b02ba283344da47876b7d.jpg

I know I couldn't get them right side up. Order by number and color- Price varies by wood type.
FTI #5 Purpleheart - will darken over time.
You need to get the metric size if your shifter, and the thread type (1.25 = 1.50)

#3 would be $50.00 that includes shipping in the lower 48. Get the info on your shifter thread size

#4 is Cocopolo - Due to the cost of the wood a knob would be $60.00

That's a great price for these things and the feel of real wood is, uh, dangerous to describe, you don't even have to be looking at it to enjoy it. :anonymous:

Well put me as first in line for the Cocopolo! No rush, I like standing in lines.

What are all the types of wood available, just out of curiosity.

Also is it possible to have something like a shark's tooth embedded into the top of the shifter knob? I'd provide the tooth.

Also also, how much is the purple heart version?

Thank you for the information. You do beautiful work!

Purple Heart is $50.00 Keep in mind that it will darken over time. I just need the info on your shifter. Size in ,etric plus thread size (8mm x 1.25) I can put the tooth on the top in a depression. Pretty much any hardwood - It you get it it should be 2 x2 x 6 inches. I will get the guide that shows what the numbered ones are.

I have done several - Not sure on the models - Check the thread size on the shifter, Might be 8mm x 1.25.

Unlike standard which is tpi(threads per inch) metric is mm per thread so 1.25 would have 4 threads in 5mm or 8 threads in 10 mm. I checked the local hardware store for different metric bolts to see which fit my knob. :anonymous:
