I looked at your DWG files and didn't seem to find the layout of the actual slider pieces that are made of 1.5" tubing. Just out of curiosity, do you happen to have length measurements for the tubing parts?

The tube I want to leave up to the builder so they are all unique and not another cookie cutter slider. But I'll throw a tape measure on mine to give you some base measurements when I get home. Currently out of state.
Also I used 1-3/4 round and 2x2 square.

Elite laser in Santa Ana off the 55.
Their prices have been a bit high recently so I would shop around a bit.

I was gonna message you, but figured I would just ask publicly for anybody else who’s wondering’s sake...
I know you said you don’t wanna encourage any cookie cutter sliders, but would you mind measuring and posting a few basic measurements? :fingerscrossed:

I’m specifically interested in the length of each longer 2x2 segment and that angle, along with the length of each supporting cross-tube, both round and square. Sorry if I’m asking for too much lol

    Totally forgot! Sorry!
Sq tube: 2x2, main is 6'-7". Short is 8.25". 30 Deg miter. Bracket to main is 5" with a 15 Deg miter to angle the sliders up. This puts the main Sq tube right at the pinchweld of the cab.

Round tube from face of Sq to round center line is 4.5"
I would suggest going longer especially if you want to angle up. These tuck in really tight to by cab and are not at all useful for a step if that's what you want.

Kick out is about 2.5" further out and about 22" long. Works great as a step to get access to a roof rack.

Let me know what else you need.

Quick question on mounting... did you drill through the other side of the frame and use long bolts?

No drilling required at all. These line up with existing holes. If you want to drill and add extra mounting points for peace of mind then by all means do it. I don't have a picture of the hardware underneath but it was a collection of 3/8" and 1/2" grade 8 bolts that I rummaged from my garage. Getting into the front boxed section is a pain in the butt. So fair warning.
For the front front angled mounting plate I welded a nut to a piece of bar stock. Inserted it into the frame through the rectangular hole and rotated 90 degrees. Using a little double sided tape may help here by keeping it from sliding down into the frame and keep it from spinning when you start the bolt. Really wish I got pictures of this. Next diy project I'll try to document better

Base plates done, 2x2 tubing done, sub-assembly welding done... next I'll be tackling the round tube. How far does your tube protrude from the side of your truck? I want the sliders to also protect from idiot door dings... I did a quick measurement and the outermost edge of the door is 13" from the frame.

Looking at the rough stackup of your dimensions I'm seeing your edge from baseframe at 12-9/16"... covers the bottom edge, but wouldn't protect mid door.

Yup. I messed up on that and it doesn't go out as far as I wanted. Up to your own creativity now and learn from my mistake.
