Slumberjack Roadhouse. I absolutely recommend it. In my opinion it's better than something like an ARB awning (or similar). It takes more time to setup/breakdown but it's a lot cheaper and offers more protection from the environment. It also allows you to set it up stand alone so if you're in a spot for a few days you can leave it at your campsite (which in an area like a National Forest I would probably feel comfortable doing). It cost me $100 and I can setup/breakdown in 10min or less. Each time I have done it I had a 4yr old "helping" and the wind was blowing at 10mph or more. I would point my truck into the wind and set it up in the A-frame configuration and had great protection from the blowing wind and rain.

Mid February ski trip to Pagosa Springs Colorado, first time in the snow for the Tacoma. Technically not "off road" but the roads required 4x4, so for a Texan it counts 20190222_000139.jpg20190221_123802.jpg

Twentynine Palms, CA between two mile and Indian trail. Truck did good. Impressed with my IVD stage 8. Slight rubbing on my drivers side, but overall no complaints here.

Out at the lake house this weekend in AZ, and decided to do the “Backway” trail to the desert bar in Parker. 2hrs to cover 5 miles. Lots of spotting needed. Only saw one Jeep and the rest were RzR’s on the trail. People couldn’t believe I did in my pickup. I wish I took more pictures. Truck did amazing, my rear was dragging on some spots though, my tow hitch took a few good dings and the hook loops are bent, other then that all my @Mobtown Offroad armor did fantastic and saved me no doubt. I’ll try and post a video of the first hill, a RZR went first in front of me and rolled it. I had to climb out and help get the guys out. With a bunch of us, we flipped it back over. His buddies turned around and took an easier trail. I then went and did it in a near stock Taco lol

Looks like it's called Runkle Fire road. I was driving up sequoia looking at the new homes they're building up there and the finished homes turned to half built homes, turned to empty plots, then the road turned to dirt and then the trail began.

Big ones are King suspension, SSO bumper w/winch, Pelfreybuilt sliders.
Went with a group way more outfitted than me. So I rode along, but we did Carrol Canyon. Heck of a trail.

Edit: We had a Jeep with us. A very daring fellow. I know it's not a Tacoma, but the man had serious balls.

Coyote Canyon all the way up to Middle Willows in Anza Borrego Desert State Park in SoCal. Packed right now with the Super Bloom of wild flowers going on. Also figure out that I need sliders! Put a dent in my tube steps...6FD4A1C7-C0E1-452F-86CD-0DB1C885D2DD.jpg
