    I’m thinking of a way to structure and handle doing it this way. I don’t want it to turn into a logistical nightmare. I would have 3 options:

    1)New OEM knob modded by me
    2)Send in your knob to be modded(maybe we can get a few OEM non TRD knobs out to customers so they have something in the meantime?)
    3)DIY only parts; hidden switch, extensions, stock ECT plug

    I’ll do #2. Can pop over to auto zone for a cheap replacement knob while out. May need to limit to a certain number to keep it manageable. I’ll take #5 of course and be happy to test out a two sided button.

    I don’t even use the ect and want this, you are like a cult leader or something. If you do the #2 route I’m in and wouldn’t need loaner knob.

    Option 3 for me! I am a kind of DIY guy if possible. And chances of getting them sooner is a possibility when it doesnt involve sending in anything.

    I also think a trade in type of deal wouldnt work since some peoples knobs are more pristine then others....
