You might...especially if gas prices spike like they've been predicting for awhile. Last time that happened nearly everyone sold their trucks and suvs for priuses

Ah yes. The gas guzzlers program. One thing I liked about our last president. Cool cars and trucks for cheap.

Gas trends follow presidential elections like haters follow toacomabeast. Wait 1 year and see what happens eapecially if the orange man looses. Party doeant matter, whenever theres a new incoming prez, prices go up for a bit.

I've got so many "secret" trails it's really unfair. I have them though because I don't post them. The old fashion way of using a topo map and pointing your rig in that direction still works very well for me. I do share them with anyone who I know, have shaken hands with, and who has a similar interest in pushing there rig to the breaking point. As far as "overlanding" goes I still call it car camping. Next time you get up this way shoot me a PM and I'll show you some cool places there aren't Coyote Flat. lol

It's the principle of things. With NatGeos bogus story pointing fingers at offroaders in Joshua Tree, this fuels there stupid agenda. I'm sure you're aware how much our public access is being challenged by these idiots. If it was there way every national forest would be deemed Wilderness which you can't even ride a bike on.

We as an offroad crowd are under a microscope, any little thing they can gather against us isn't good. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't think it a big deal.

The Joshua story was most definitely someone trying to push an agenda against the 4x4 community. The picture of tire tracks in the dirt were highway tread and the picture of the tree that was cut down was taken years ago.

That's why this Tacomabeast incident is a big deal. The media will create fictional stories to push there agenda.

Social media is ruining this country in my opinion.

I had ordered a pair of those x-bulls off eBay since Amazon stopped carrying them. 2 days later one of the NorCal guys was selling some of his gear. He had a pair of tred pros he used once - no cracks, 80 bucks. Stopped by and picked those up. Couldn't cancel the x-bulls but no issue.

The xbulls work great in sand and mud. Not saying they are perfect but for the 70$ i spent on them they do everything i asked of them so far with no issue.

    Until it leaks...

Nice idea though. I like the extension on the slider, especially since I have a 5' bed as well. Not to crazy about the tiny opening though. Kind of awkward for loading gear I bet. Can definitely do a lot of customizing with the cap.
