I’m glad you see it that way.

So obviously you are a hunter. Cool sport I guess. (how does that cat taste anyway?) I hunted for meat, not really the sport of it. Probably why I don’t hunt now, but hey, you like it and I personally do not want to do anything that might effect what you like to do for sport (or you could be a sportsman guide).

Now what if I were to do something to possibly harm your chances of hunting next year, and the year after, and so on? It’s just mountain lions. They really don’t harm me, you don’t eat them, so why should I give any thought to your sport?

Well let me answer that question for you. I may not give two shits if you ever kill another ML, in fact, I see no real benefit in my mind. I have them in my area (co-existing with coyotes, bear, bobcats, etc). They don’t bother my dogs (I’m also not the dumbass that keeps poodles in this area), keep the deer, elk, and now moose population in check. So then, why do I support your sport?

Simple, because you enjoy it. It’s legal, healthy to keep predator population down, and nobody should be telling you, “sorry there’s no hunting (off-roading) in this area anymore. Take up knitting.”

It's a douche move no doubt, but so is the #metoo circle jerk of a response by the community.

    That’s actually a good correlation

What would @JKO1998 response be to poaching? I mean, they breed every year so what if someone kills an animal out of season or doesn’t have a permit for it.

The fact that it was done via story to me saids it wasn’t an honest response from him and he didn’t respect the community to tell people on a more appropriate platform instead of one he is pushing his brand and products. Not everybody does social media you know and most wont give a view to his social platforms for likes or revenue so he can tell a story and point fingers... when clearly the act was done and he didn’t give it a thought when he added the photo to his story

Plenty of people feel very strongly about actions like this.

    A productive debate is good.

Hell, plenty of businesses and organizations I refuse to support due to my own personal beliefs.

    This is no different.

Never ate one, don’t really enjoy killing them.

Mountain lions can harm you (looks at Colorado dude that’s fought one).

They tried banning it Oregon and now they’re bringing it back so

Yes sir! I completely agree. Myself and those that I associate with on the trails believe in leaving no trace behind. It's hard enough trying to keep the trails open for safe recreation. Tacoma Nation supports taking care of the great outdoors.
