    Good day,

This afternoon I loaded up the family and left the house for a trip to the store. Down the driveway and onto the main road, maybe a couple hundred yards, the engine started running very rough and I got Check Engine and Trac Off on the dash. I pulled over and shut down. After restarting I found a P0300 code with my ScanGauge II, which I did not clear. Both dash lights were off and the truck was idling normally. The rest of the trip passed uneventfully.

A bit of searching here hasn't told me for sure what the issue is, but it looks like it might be related to the Crank Position Sensor issue that many here have faced. According to the NHTSA website, my vehicle is not affected by that recall.

This has never happened before and I'm a little over 220 miles from the dealership. Anything else that I should consider before making the trip to them?

Truck had been parked inside the garage for about a day and it was about 40F and wet but not raining.

    Thanks for your time.

P0300 is random misfire code . it does not point to any cylinder yet . best is to just use the truck like normal . then if that code resets and another one set your mechanic will have a starting point . don't clear your code until its fixed

I believe so, but I’ll double check. Last fill up was 04 March and I had driven 70 miles on that tank of fuel at the time.
