I loved the lights from this truck

    DSC00205_9ee763e3409ff16c130e53deaec3e82b3e3f671e.jpg

So I thought, "what the hell, I can do that"

Tinted the turn signal lenses orange and while I had them open, put some projectors/halos in there and 6k HIDs. 6K fogs too

    heres another shot

I think it came out nice. the hard part was finding a matching orange vinyl for the signals.

I have white eyelids that I need to put on to finish it off.

These are the gen 2 plug and play ones form Luminous Solutions. I dont have the time to put together a full retro, so these get the job done just fine

    super easy to install

I've been looking at doing the projector mod on my truck. Do you mind me asking how much they setup cost just on the projectors and how the light output is? Oh and hows the cutoff look? Great job by the way!! Very nice!! If you like that grill, I know a girl on here that has done that to her own truck.

I actually traded some X-runner parts for the projectors, so I am not really sure on the selling price. I can find out though.

I havent had them out at night yet. I has them wired funky and they were on Hi the whole time, so I fixed that tonight and I will let you know how they output is. Other have them, and the output is great. I need to do a little alignment with them and I will see how the cutoff is. Its better than no projectors, I can tell you that

Sure, you can go the retro route, but I dont have the time to do that, so this works great for me. plus its an easy install

I had these. They're called the Gen 3s. I personally did not like mine and had to get it modified from this cut off:

    To this:

For the same money, you could get these:

    http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=221&osCsid=4124404b6f1cfa07ce2047cf3d201f4b

These are much more reliable and made by a name brand. They also use D2S bulbs. Also, it does not require any cutting, like the Gen 3 projectors. As well, as it giving you choices for shrouds.

No cutting was needed for this install, so maybe you are thinking something different.

anyway, it is better than stock halogens.

That is another nice option though

Dude, understand my post. I said "Also, it does not require any cutting, like the G3 projectors."

    You have G3 projectors.

How about a bit more info on how these projectors get installed. I've see the retro write-up and I'm not ready to try that, but could someone write up a how-to/steps taken for these PnP projectors?

Yes, I had to have someone (since they were going to do it for free) add a piece of metal to straighten the cutoff.

so, the link you posted was not the projector in the second pic? that looked like a color modd'd fx35 or s2k. i like the one in the link, but they do not have the option to order the d2s style one. i might have to call on that one
