Even after a 2000 mile drive through torrential downpours, sleet, blizzards and white outs, I highly recommend going to the shop for the install. Being able to wander around and interact with everyone and getting a full tour of the facility was pretty amazing. All the workers were great and seem really into their jobs and the product. There were a ton of campers and tents in all phases of the build process.

I know it's now a cliche but the camper definitely exceeded my expectations. I've done a ton of reading and research on the GFC and have probably seen every picture of one posted on the internet, but getting to see it in person and open and close everything, it's an unbelievably well made product. Everything on mine lines up perfect, the seals are all perfect, fit and finish is amazing. I can;t wait to get out there and go camping but the utility of the "Bed cap" area alone is worth the price. Secure storage and full bed cabana mode has already proved invaluable.

Overall, I'd be willing to say this is one of the best purchases I've ever made.

I asked about the rumor that you need to have the rear most panel in place otherwise you will get leaks. I was told that's not true. You can leave them all in or none or any combo basically. I have mine in bunk mode now and had the two rear most panels out for the whole trip home in the rain and snow. No leaks were found when I got home and inspected it.

Interesting. I'm not sure what could be different between the two beside the new seal system.

Hopefully the new seal system is a fix. I also have leaking along the supports that hold the bed panels. They will
Be picking my camper up eventually to reseal it and update it.

Haha, yea. That would be nice. You can make a few bucks if you want to sew mine up. Pretty sure it was also you I stole the Amazon level mod from. Usually I'm too drunk to care but every once in a while I run out of booze and do things right. The levels will come in handy.

I think that's the CFX 27? I could be wrong. I usually camp solo and it's more than enough room for me. I drink bourbon so I don;t need space for cans or bottles of beer. If I do, I have a few normal coolers to take care of that.

Good call. I may try that eventually. I'll probably decide after my first camping trip.

Looks like gray is the more popular color.

Looks great! Quick question, does the double bulb seal that runs along the top of the bed rails run flush with the inside rim of the rail? I couldnt tell from the pics. I am taking delivery of mine sometime in april likely and will be doing a self install and knowing where the double bulb sits on the rails would be very helpful!! thanks.

It definitely is. But, the orange is a really good looking color in person. Pretty sure if I had any color truck except quicksand, I would have went with the orange.

Sorry about the sideways pic but it does appear to be flush with the inside lip. I'll try to remember and check when I get home from work tonight to verify.

It's just about flush with the edge.
