So sick of having to restart my Entune because the Iheart radio app never connects/starts. I see where the apps wants to connect from my Iphone and I do that if it does not do it automatically. I get in my truck and 8/10 times I need to restart the head unit so it connects to the app running on my phone. Then it plays. I stop to get gas and get back in and the same thing will happens. I have to turn off/on the head unit and hope it will connect again. It usually does but sometimes takes a few resets. I have tried deleting the app on my Iphone and reinstalling. No change in the issue. Does this happen to anyone else? Frustrating.

Question. How many preset station do you have for your Iheart radio app? I have 6 on the first page then only two on the second for a total of eight. Seems like there should be twelve. When I add a new station it deletes one of the others. Is this normal?
I appreciate any responses and feedback

My iphone 8 seems to connect fine. I get a little annoyed when I have to log into Entune on my phone every week or so but other than that, it works for me.

Mine likes to deny USB connection randomly and I have to listen via Bluetooth. It seems like this happens when it’s cold but that could be my imagination. Annoying for sure. iPhone 7 Plus.

I dislike the entune app completely.. I only use bluetooth for Amazon radio.. Im thinking I can just delete the app off my phone completely and not miss it..

Only way mine work is if my entune app is connected. You have to open the app and wait for it to say connected

Which Entune app are you using? The dealership had me download the Entune 3.0 and Scout GPS apps before I left the lot. So far I've found no use for either one.

I keep hearing about entune, and I see very poor reviews.
But I've not seen any description of what it's for - all I hear is "bunch of apps for stuff like sports news and things"

So, why would I be doing that while driving? My info-tain-nav is a premium, so I already get traffic and weather, and GPS without a phone.

Is there actually any reason to get entune?

Your salesman/dealer does not know their products. Entune 3.0 is not for the Tacoma, and Scout gps is only needed if you have Entune Plus. You show to have an Off road which has entune premium with built in nav. The app you need is Toyota Entune, not 3.0.

When Pandora was a part of the app suite it was good. Now its just good for slacker or Iheart radio, which neither of those I use yet. I will try them out soon just to see.

Just downloaded the correct app and tried it out. Now it makes sense why nothing worked.

It sounds ok through Bluetooth, but there is a definite difference in quality between usb and Bluetooth. After dropping a grand to upgrade the components and adding an amp and sub, I’d like to have the best sound quality I can get, and that is through usb. Just like quartr said, it’s only after sitting overnight in cold temperatures. Strange behavior but only a minor inconvenience. I still love the truck with all my heart.

Anyone figure out if Toyota Entune can add car play? Looks like Toyota Entune 3.0 can.
