Ah, makes sense! I may end up looking in that area as well, if only to get closer to the ocean again.

 

I was in Norfolk for three years from 2012-2015, so I have some insight going into it! I’m excited. We already have a house lined up in the nice part of Chesapeake.

 

This seems like a bad idea to my untrained mind. Without the vortex created by the "Ram" function it seems like water and debris would easily get into your intake. But again I'm not an expert.

 

If you happen to find that ballsout ramball mount we talked about a long time ago, I'd still take it off of your hands.....

 

Spring diameter is too big for 5100's isn't it? I believe they are only 2"

 

Yeah the coils meant for 5100 have a little pig tail on one end and flat surface on the other. These coils are flat on both ends.

I would recommend a prefilter for those who are worried

 

Would the negative pressure of turning it backward combined with a prefilter impact the efficiency of the engine? It seems like turning the Ram intake around would negate all the positive gains of having a snorkel...Not trying to argue. Just asking questions since I'm interested in eventually getting one myself.

 

The prefilter replaces the snorkel top. Ie davids truck.

 

A lot of doors open brother for us VETS. Never realized it until I did the same thing. Had a job lined up and started 2 days after I got out. Still here today.

 

Yep. I run OVTune. I love it. I recently installed the 1.05 base it is performing really well. I even gained about 1-2 mpg's. Depending on how much skinny pedal I give it.

 

I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but the job I applied for, my buddy works there and handed my resume to his friend, the hiring manager. He was very excited, and my buddy said I basically have the job. We’ll see though.

 

Motherfucking Kong’s. Resi brackets come in tomorrow but I wasn’t waiting for those to get a test drive in.

I’m not that much of a baller, just 12”. They look freaking massive though.
