I must be missing something with regard to the packages they (you- OP) offer. The package that includes the cable is $770, the one without is $600. I'm not a mathematician, but that would be a $170 cable. I did a quick search on Amazon, and you can buy OBDI to USB cables for $12-$24. Hopefully I'm missing some bit of info, otherwise this is pretty bad.

Not the one that will flash without screwing up your ECU:

So, now your math checks out. . .

Highly recommended to not cheap out and get the ones off Amazon. Not guaranteed to work

Like the others said, do so at your own risk. If you do use the cheap cable, please don't come back on here bitching that your ecu is bricked and it's all the tunes fault. Thanks.

That was not directed at any one person and not intended to be snarky, more cheeky or funny. If you didn't intend to be snarky you would have responses initially with that.

My truck runs great with the 1.05 tune and I’m staying with 87 GL. At this point I have no reason to change fuel nor do I require more power. I’ll let you know if I still feel that way after the towing season.

Sad how people today find it so easy to be rude based on assumptions. I doubt that scifidelity would have posed the question that way if he was standing in front of Matt and speaking face to face or maybe he would have? Just my two cents! Asking a question in a non confrontation way is being a dead art.

@OVTune There has been a lot of talk of updating to the latest TSB, using Techstream, in this thread. (04B04 I believe, correct me if I am wrong) Is it your recommendation to upgrade? Or would you recommend people stay at their current version, assuming they are happy with it? In my case that would be 04B02.

The internet makes everyone anonymous. People can say things (tone, content, and context) they wouldn’t dare phrase the same way to someone’s face.

His first post is long, but he recently added:
    - STOCK ECU TSB 04B04 ( after seeing this nobody should be on the fence about updating to TSB, even if you're uninterested in tuning )

Now you should get the dealer to perform this update as no one here is responsible if something goes wrong. Other members have gone it alone with TS with great results and then of course moving to 1.05 tunes.
