Looks nice. Why are there no pics with the headlights on? Definitely want to see how that looks.

 

Do the quad projectors add any performance over two projectors?

I knew these headlights were garbage when they released that they were designing the headlights around LEDs and refused to release any output, throw, or beam pattern photos in their build/preorder thread. You just confirmed it.

And who is "they?" Unless I read the OP this was a one off project one person did for another person. Your post reads like you caught someone trying to scam you personally!

Without figuring Meso's labor, what is a ballpark cost for all the parts?

 

Oh Mojlnir, you sweet, innocent, sweet little boy. The LEDs alone were probably around a couple hundred at least, then you add in the nice square projectors, bulbs, the ballasts and harnesses which is about $600 on TRS. Throw in the cost of the actual headlights and I would say, based on my own money pit of a headlight project, we're looking just north of a grand.

If all I wanted to do was upgrade to the Morimoto projector I would still need a custom mounting bracket made right?

I'm sure you've answered this before, but what CAD program do you use to design/reverse engineer your custom parts?

 

Simple parts: Digital calipers + pen and paper + Fusion 360
Complex parts: Shinning 3D laser scanner + Meshmixer + Fusion360
