Went in to the dealer for the first oil change and he said that the 2,7l has synthetic oil and the maintenace interval is 10k miles. Suprised me. Is this info in the owners manual?

Mine has regular Dino oil. When I bought the truck in April I got from Toyota free oil changes and free tire rotations every 5,000 miles for 2 years or 25,000 miles which ever comes first. At 30,000 miles I will be switching to Mobil 1.

My V6 came with Dino oil and I had the dealer change it (Free oil changes for 25000) to synthetic at 5000. Cost a little more but I don't care about the cost of the oil.

I had the service plan, but it only covered dino oil. I didn't find this out until I was already there, so I had them switch it to Mobil 1 full synthetic for the first oil change. Of course they charged some ridiculous amount, so I will be doing all my own oil changes from now on, despite my service plan.

The service writer said the V6's have normal oil, but the 4cyl have synthetic. I have always changed my oil at 3k intervals.

I was told that the Camry was the only car that came with synthetic from the factory.
