I went from the (second) initial 04B02 release of 1.05(93) to 1.05P(93) after having the 04B04 update done at the dealer. I didn't like 1.05P at all. So I flashed 1.05B(91) yesterday afternoon, but I haven't actually driven it yet.

Not to be snarky, but it tells you what cable is needed for the software package. Not some cheap OBDI cable you found for $24. Since you were missing that information, I posted it for you. In case you can't read more than a few words, it's in the black box below.

Please correct me if I'm wrong - The System ID generated by Toyflash is the Computer (PC) ID number. So if I reinstall my software the number will always be the same? I've already sent the System ID to Zendesk for registration.

Did Mat’s news get lost in all the noise and snarkiness? Ability to switch octanes w/o switching tunes? I’d like to know more, Mat!

What exactly is the difference between the two packages? Is it only a OBDII cable w/ Techstream? I guess my questions is .. "can a $9.999 Veepeak Mini Bluetooth save me $170?"

No it will not and can not save you 170$ you require the Tactrix cable to work properly with the tune software

The difference is one includes cable and other doesn't

As long as you don’t change computers the System ID that you registered with OVTune will remain the same.

The difference is the tactrix adapter or not. If you want to tune, you need the tactrix adapter. A cheap knockoff is unsupported and likely to cause issues

I tried the cable that I had that I use in my shop for obd2 software and I couldn't even get it to move. I put the truck in drive and it did nothing. Had to clear the ECU in order to just get the truck to drive. Trust us. By the damn tactrix 2.0 cable

@OVTune. Do you have any dyno information on the 91 and 93 octane tunes? I only see the 87 on the OP

    ^^this

$30-40k truck. $170 cable is nothing. If it’s too expensive, you probably shouldn’t tune your truck.

    Yeah but.....

Can you get that when your commute is 80mph?

I see lots of these posts and I get a little jealous. I suppose I could move over 3 lanes and deal with the on-rampers at 60 mph.

Nah... I’ll keep blowin-n-goin in the fast lane. :)

I’m averaging about 18.5 over the last 15k miles. That’s 60/40 highway/city. Can’t complain too much. That’s about 2mpg better than my FJ.

Heck no. Highway mileage is 17-18mpg at 75.
I don’t average this often, but today I had the opportunity to experiment with S4.

Yep lesson learned. Wasn't being cheap, just thought the snap on one would be sufficient. However it was not.
