Haha yeah bumpers are one thing I don't really care about. I think I've had my CBI rear for almost...2 years? Maybe more or less, I don't know. This ones cool and took almost half a year of waiting haha

Ready for high clearance! Bumper is off at powdercoat. I need to clean the threads and retap one, as well as get 2 new bolts. Hoping to get everything installed Thursday before leaving on Friday!

Hardest part was getting a new cut off wheel on the angle grinder lol.

Doesn’t look pretty but some edge trimming will fix it. Thanks Ryan for the tips!

That looks like pretty clean cut.
Other than improved flex, how did the shock relocate effect the ride? Asking for science.

Huge difference, especially long drives. I really need a new leaf pack to feel it though as my pack is as stiff as a brick.

The rebound is a big difference when hitting a dip. Firm, but forgiving.

It’s worth it. I mean, I think King Shocks for Tacoma’s are $1,100 or something.

I believe im in $1200 on the relocation? Maybe $1,300?

Only thing I wish I did different was spend the money to get bypasses, cause heck why not

Cause, you loose low speed control ability. It’s more time/money you need to invest in tuning to make work properly for your setup. They allow for more adjustment, therefore more of a headache if you dont want to pay someone to do it.

    Shall I keep going? :boink:

On another note, hitting speed bumps literally send my head into the roof and my back to the chiropractor  I thought my stanced out Subaru was stiff till I met a heavy duty pack with no weight on it lol.

Side note for those with winches - Which one did you go with? I’ve heard good stuff about the X-Bull and Badlands. Not to cheap out, but I don’t have the $800 to spend on a Warn. And I was thinking 12-13k lb?

why don't you pull one of the overload springs? It makes a difference, especially if you're not weighed way down.

It’s only like this for 3 days. The new rear is way heavier than the CBI I had so it should weigh down well, I hope

You mean the guy who made an account to defend his stance on using a 3.0 shock on a T4R and then disappeared?
