I sold the Throttle Body and adapter.

7th inj and expansion harness still available.

$450 shipped to someone in here.

Damn it. Wanted the throttle body too! I have the 7th already.

Also, why you ditching the 7th? can't that be run with the stock intake?

EDIT: NM, I thought it was a 75mm TB. Wasn't reading...

I suppose it could. I would need to make new mounts to move the air box over a little.

Honestly, my truck is so heavy, I seriously doubt that 7th is making any real difference.

I look at the supercharger as simply making the truck drivable at this point.

It’s not going to be fast no matter what. Let someone else have fun with the 7th.

The UCON is on the work bench at the moment. Didn’t want to fry it welding the sheet metal back in.

It will be going back in though.

Good idea. Not something you want to let the smoke out of.

No way. I pulled all the wires away from the firewall on both sides and pulled the UCON and Computer.

My buddy caught his truck on fire tubbing. Looked up and saw flames in the windshield. Inside his attached garage. Luckily, he got it put out with an extinguisher.

I have heard the glue or paint in the floor boards is very easy to catch on fire. I think it was Eddy at SOS used some wet towels on the backside to help deter any fires. I am horrible about unplugging anything when I weld. I will probably go slow with the tubbing though. I am going to do passenger side first. I have so much crap against the floor on the driver side.

Ringing endorsement for Reynolds wrap foil. No fires. My close call was a buddy split a 1/4 of gas on the floor in my shop. With extension cords plugged in laying in the pond of fuel. High pucker factor.

I think the bigger advantage is the cooling of the air charge that the 7th is responsible for. Might help prevent lean conditions when you're loaded up on them 37's. Good luck with the sale, I'm certain someone will enjoy that!

So supercharger + 37" tires = better than stock performance? Asking for a friend.......that feels over geared with 4:88's /35" tires and likes to :sawzall::welder:

liquid gas isnt that flammable, probably a pretty low risk in that situation. not that i would condone testing that though

True. It was the nauseating vapors because it was hot out. Got lucky I guess.

Ha! Tell your “friend” 37s are where it’s at ;)

But, no idea. Haven’t driven the truck on 37s yet. Haven’t driven it since the end of October as a matter of fact.

I certainly can’t remember what stock felt like at this point. It’s been a LONG time.

I DO know that I have no interest in driving a 6,000 lb truck turning 130 lb 37” tires & steel wheels without the supercharger.

It might go downhill alright without the s/c.

one of my buddies also agreed 4.88s is overgeared for 35s and preferred 37s. but another likes them with 35s. :notsure:

I thought it was good with 35s and 4.88s TBH.

I’m moving towards towing my truck. Future mods will be less “geared” towards street use.

4.88 and auto is nice on 37s. I understand the overdrive sucks on manual and have heard that 4.88 on 35s is what they like. I have an auto and enjoy it without issue supercharged. SCS F5 (24 lbs) and Falken 85 lb tires.

You’ll have to take this with a grain of salt, as I came across an old post I made the other day. In that post, I had just put 33s and bumpers on my truck. I stated “I’m done for awhile after this”...

But, after this round, I really am done for quite some time. I’ve been working on this thing so much, it’s not fun anymore.

I need to just Wheel it for awhile. That is always fun.

Urd y-pipe courtesy of @Murphinator installed tonight. No real noticeable change in tone or power from my 1 mile test drive which is good because I was worried about it being raspy or having a drone. Studs gave me some grief and I should probably order some to replace the damaged ones, but everything is sealing for now. I’ll have to drive it some more and get it under a load in the dunes in a few weeks and make my decision on headers as far as cats or no cats go.

Fired it up for fun without booking in the muffler and I am more enticed to put an exhaust cutout for fun lol. But still nice and quiet with the trd cat back muffler and I like it.
