I do agree that the benefit of the doubt should go to him, however, responsibility for ones actions is the key, if he was not the one that marked the rock then he needs to hang the asshat who did out to dry, fire them if they are an employee and issue both a written and video apology on every channel. THEN do something like land conservation of said park. That would go a LONG way in repairing the bridges he has burned or destroyed.

I know the current atmosphere in this country does not promote this, but, real men and real Americans admit and accept responsibility when they know they fucked up.

Second chances are always given, once you admit and accept the damage you have done.

I don’t know the guy, but, after this I question his honesty and moral turpitude.

Employee was cited with class A misdemeanor and they are in contact with area officials to organize a clean up.

I'm not here to defend anybody or their actions. I just wanted to address the elephant and get it off my mind.

That’s a start, but if he still has his job, it really ain’t much.

Just sayin, restaurants fire wait staff for lesser offenses....

Maybe my standards are too high?

Seemed like a good guy when he was here. I agree with the fact that real people stand up for their actions, even if it wasn’t him it’s still his name in the mud. The best way to get on top is to either admit he did it or say actions were taken with the responsible party. Then do a cleanup at every park or event he attends for the foreseeable future. Being proactive is the only way to try and make amends. If he does, I’ll volunteer to help.

I believe that's "graffiti on a rail/highway bridge". Just wash your mouth out with soap and promise your parents that you won't do that again, even if it is a great cause!

Hell, I've seen people get fired on their day off! (Happened to my friend)

Anyways, I don't work for em and don't have anything to do with it.

We were just going to raise a bunch of money for a Texas charity.

So are mine, so you have to confess to the wife and daughter! When I got kicked out of school, explain to dad was the lowest day of my life - since he took off work and found me walking home..... another story. I miss mom and dad, and feel for you the same.

Understood, just one of those things that the punishment doesn’t fit the crime as we all know the class A will get pled down and the muppet will end up with community service and a fine.. now if they were called out by name and fired, then they MIGHT learn a lesson..

It is what I would expect to happen to me if I did something this stupid.

What’s the line? Different strokes for different folks? Maybe I was just raised different?
I get a bit amped when I see someone toss the fast food garbage out of their car onto the ground in the drive through....

And flick a cigarette but and the list goes on. Just as we will!

I got to go but y'all try and keep it between the mustard and mayo, ok?

No need to dwell on punishment.
